The white-haired member who was hitting all the high notes is named Wendy. She did a collab with John Legend called Written in the Stars that is definitely worth a watch. Unfortunately, she was severely injured right after the release of Psycho and has only returned very recently, hence the lack of a newer comeback. Two of the members, Irene and Seulgi (the one you first asked about), released an album a couple months ago as a subunit with MVs for Monster and Naughty.
And those songs released by Seulgi and Irene are absolute bangers.

She wasn't injured during a Psyko rehearsal, it was some Disney collab rehearsal. Solar from Mamamoo was part of that collab and was the one who found her.
You will not be disappointed about RV. Seulgi and Wendy are absolutely amazing vocalists. Wendy is for me one of the best of this generation

Top 3 vocal groups
Wendy, the main vocalist, was unfortunately injured pretty badly shortly after Psycho was released while performing on stage. She fractured her pelvis along with a few other injuries. So she has been recovering, and that is the reason for the long duration without a comeback.
I would like to recommend one of their recents songs a cover of Milky Way by BoA you can hear all of their voices individually.
It's also the first song with all five members now that Wendy is back

Honestly, dreamcatcher and red velvet are 2 most favourite girls group for me. Why ? I like where red velvet make a harmony in their song, always, and i guarantee you, not most of girls group can do that. Where it becomes dreamcatcher ? Of course they talented! All of them ! Red velvet debuted in 2014 with this song with 4 members (joy - green hair, irene- pink hair, Wendy - blue, seulgi - yellow hair). In 2015 they added a new member named Yeri. They have two different concepts/sounds their name red velvet represents this, red meaning their more bright cutesy and pop sound for example happiness and then velvet stands for their more R&B side for example psycho. I hope this was helpful lol ☺️ p.s. the member you like was seulgi who is the girl (who was lying in the grass and the one with short hair) who is also in a sub unit with irene.

YAY! I hit the trifecta!!!! First Deamcatcher, then Mamamoo and now Red Velvet, my 3 favorite groups.
I'm sure someone has explained this already (I didn't read all 109 comments), but here it is, just in case they didn't....
Red Velvet's concept is that they really don't have a specific concept. They are, in fact, capable of doing pretty much any concept they want. They do, however, have 2 'sides' to their music, a "Red" side and a "Velvet" side. The Red side consists of their lighter, poppier, more fun songs such as Happiness. Their Velvet side consists of their more mature, sometimes sultry, often R&B inspired songs such as Psycho.

As you progress through their MV's you'll notice 2 things. 1) A lot of their MV's have a dark undertone to them. 2) There's a lot of references to food.
About 2 months ago they introduced a sub unit consisting of just 2 members, Irene and Seulgi (the one you like). There are MV's for 2 of their songs, Monster and Naughty. There's also a solo from Seulgi titled Uncover. Sadly there's no MV for Uncover, but there are several lyric videos you could check out. All 3 are worth checking out.

Red velvet are the queens of the quirky concepts, I would recommend you to listen their b sides bcs sometimes they're even better than the title tracks, also (addressing to what I just said) there are two songs that you should check: One of these nights (title tracks, but check the "Yu Huiyeol's sketchbook" version bcs it's live) and Automatic (b-side with mv), the vocals on both are really pretty.
Also I wanted to tell you that they haven't made another full group comeback because Wendy (the short haired blonde in psycho, and my bias), fell off from a very high plataform in December when she was practicing for a special stage, all of this due to the irresponsibility of SBS. She broke her right cheekbone, wrist and pelvis, now she's almost fully recovered (almost).
Anyways, thank u sm for the videos (all of them, I love this channel hehe) and for reacting to Red velvet, Seulgi has a beautiful voice so I totally understand why you like it ^^ ✨

Seulgi, the main dancer with the best voice out there.
She's one of the most complete idols, looks gorgeous, amazing voice, incredible dancer. She's kind, funny, adorable, there's no way to not like her.
The one you like is Seulgi, she's their dancer and has a very fun unique voice. Her and Irene (their leader) were in a sub-unit that had a come-back this year with a really cool title track followed by a 3-part series of videos where they did a dance-heavy duet then each got a "solo" video. Seulgi's solo song uncover is beautiful.

When they debuted with Happiness they were 4 members (Irene, Seulgi, Joy and Wendy). They released a couple songs as four and then Yeri was added as a fifth member with the song "Ice Cream Cake" (Yeri was the one hopping on the bed in Psycho). They're said to have two sides to Red Velvet; the "Red"- poppy and bright, and the "Velvet"- soulful and darker, but in my opinion, many of their recent songs blend the two sides together. Psycho being the cumulation of that, and is my current favorite song of all time. Peek-a-boo and Bad Boy are two I'd suggest looking at next. And they have too many great b-sides to list. Fandom name is "ReVeLuv", btw.
I only came here to see what you would say about Wendy's high notes in "Psycho". Seulgi's vocals are unreal and she's one of the best dancers in k-pop too!
"Kingdom Come" is known as one of the best b-sides in k-pop.
The reason they haven’t had a full group comeback in so long is due to Wendy the lead vocalist having an accident at the very end of last year. She was hospitalised and only recently came back when they did a cover for the Kpop legend BoA. Hopefully we get to see them have a comeback soon. However Irene and Seulgi had a unit debut with Monster which brought a new side to the Red Velvet flavours.
Yes the one you liked and noticed in both MVs is the same girl: Seulgi, she's also my bias :) You'll love Red Velvet, Seulgi and Wendy (the one who did the high notes, she's actually amazing) are great vocalists. Wendy the main vocalist had a terrible fall and to at least have 6 months of recovery that’s why they haven’t released anything since then luckily she’s recovered now and a comeback is near! During this long hiatus they had the had a subunit comeback with two of the members Irene and seulgi. They released two songs called “monster” and “naughty” I would love to see you ur reaction on those.
I’m sure you’ve heard but they genuinely have one of the best discographies in kpop their b-sides are masterpieces if you ever dive into them
Red Velvet are known for simulatiously having two concepts, a Red side (lighthearted, silly, ex: Happiness) and a Velvet side (mature, creepy, ex: Psycho). Stylistically, they are very vocally driven and experiment a lot, especially in their b-sides. In my eyes they're tied with Dreamcatcher for best discography.

Red Velvet does not walk the beaten path! every comeback is like finding out a new style of music they debut with 5 members but on their next comeback added their 5th member and red velvet has been 5 people ever since. Red Velvet is one of my favourite groups. Their discography is quite immaculate in my (very humble) opinion.
They basically have a dual concept. A Red side. Red songs/concepts are more bright, pop, fresh... (Ex: Happiness, Red Flavor, Power Up etc.) And a Velvet side. Velvet songs/concepts are more rnb, sultry, sexy... (Ex: Psycho, Bad Boy, Automatic, Kingdom Come)

Yay! Red Velvet is amazing! If you want to hear their more slow R&B jams, be sure to listen to Kingdom Come, Be Natural, Automatic, and Bad Boy. Bad Boy is considered to be one of the most iconic kpop girl group songs of all time, and I believe that is their most viewed music video!

I love SM Artists. Wendy & Irene are my favorites! I saw them in concert and trust me when I say Irene is a tiny little girl with a beautiful voice. They are so sweet 💕.
They started out with 4 members but Yeri was added during their Ice Cream Cake 🎂 Era. I'm not sure why they added her - maybe age?? She's the youngest - but shes an incredible addition!

It's not for nothing that next to Mamamoo, Red Velvet are seen as the top vocal groups and Wendy as the top female vocalist of the current generation ^_^ their harmonizations as a group are also among the best among kpop groups.
If you're interested in Red Velvet's vocals and vocal performances, then you really should listen to the performances of their vocal line, like these:

Red Velvet have done all kinda concepts, but they're really, really good at soul, funk and R&B style of songs, that's one of their strengths. Wendy has also done a duet with John Legend.
seulgi is a main dancer, but I was really impressed when you guessed she was a rapper, and complimented her voice. yes she is the ace of kpop, a talented idol.
They've been on a forced hiatus in 2020 due to Wendy's serious injuries. If you want to listen to them live I'd suggest the Psycho live @ ReVe Festival Finale as one of their last performance before their break. And then their recent cover of Milky Way, which was done as a '20th year as an artist celebration' of their label colleague BoA - this was also Wendy's comeback and more or less first time she's been seen since the accident. Both are fairly stripped versions with them sitting down.
Debut and most recent song was a good way to introduce a new artist/group btw.

And yes, the girl lying in the grass in Happiness is your fave in Psycho, Seulgi. She is a lead singer in Red Velvet but not the main singer. Wendy, the girl you noted as having a high voice, is the main singer. BTW, Wendy doesn't just have a high voice, she has a four octave range and is versatile at singing a wide range of styles, from R&B to jazz to pop. If Seulgi were in any other group, she'd more likely than not be the main singer. What makes RV a special group vocally, however, isn't just these two. It's all the members of the group who each brings something vocally unique to the group.

Actually, Happiness is a very meaningful song if you look up the lyrics. I think there's a live stage with lyrics. Seulgi is also the member that I find to be able to capture people's attention when they first see the group in music videos, Bad Boy and Psycho for example. Psycho is dramatic because it's the final in a trilogy.
If you like female girl groups with strong vocals you should react to EXID,, the main vocalist Solji is really well known in the kpop industry for her vocals.

For me my 2 faves on each side of them are Zimzalabim and Red Flavour for the Red side and one of these nights and automatic for the Velvet side. However my ultimate fave song is Peek-a-Boo with I think it a mix of both sides.

Seulgi (whose voice you liked the most) did a song together with Moonbyul called "Selfish." They are close friends in real life outside of their own groups.

Wendy's (main vocal) range is one of the widest range in a Kpop Girl group
Wendy is often dubbed as the best female vocalist of 3rd gen and Red Velvet as the most versatile girl group. Billboard called them "The Best Idol Group Alive". If you listen to more of them, you'll know why. ;)) I hope you get to their b-sides because that's where the magic lies.
I think Red Velvet and Mamamoo are the same when it comes to versatility.
Black3ight redvelvet is definitely more experimental, like they have some wtf songs that a lot of people don’t like, for such a popular girlgroup songs like rookie, Russian roulette, zimzalabim, umpah lumpa are really bold, even happiness was a bold debut song, the only group as experimental as the is f(x)
but yeah mamamoo is also very versatile, even though i personally can’t move on from their debut retro style, to me it was their best era

Watching only 2 mv is not enough to understand Red velvet, they’re so versatile and every comeback is different, they always try new concepts and it’s impossible to predict what they are gonna do next time. They also have a sub-unit that debuted in July. They didn’t have a comeback this year yet, because of some people (sbs) Wendy was injured and recovering since last December. But she got better and is slowly coming back

My fav is irene, you should check live version of psycho, they singing in their seats. 2nd fav of mine is badboy. Redvelvet was on my top list before the discovery of dreamcatcher.

Red Velvet are my 3rd favorite after Momoland in 2nd. But with Momoland, allot of it goes to loyalty cause they were my introduction into kpop. But seeing how Momoland doesn't comeback in forever(not to their fault) I feel like I kinda have to soon place RV in 2nd. I think if RV's next comeback is a hit for me, then I just have to do it.

Wow you noticed our Lead Singer and Main dancer "Seulgi". You got her in both Happiness and Psycho. and our Main Vocal "Wendy" she is one of the best in the generation, who you said who had weird voice.

The one laying in the grass is Seulgi! And yes, she's the one you kept saying had your favorite voice. Her dancing (and singing) is *chef's kiss* really something else. Keep an eye out for Wendy (the one with the blue hair in happiness/the white hair in Psycho). She's one of the best vocalists in kpop in my opinion.
Red Velvet have one of the best vocal lines in Kpop! Wendy, the platinum blonde is the BEST female vocalist of this generation. Her range is the biggest in Kpop (4 octaves).
Christina Aguilera metioned Red Velvet’s Wendy during her Vogue interview: “She's a very powerful vocalist. My large vocal range consists of 4 octaves, 2 notes & a semitone yet I’ve noticed that Wendy does it BETTER than me with a larger range including 4 octaves and larger ranges of notes”

@@eyebrowstjwell Happiness did not really showcase much from Wendy other than the bridge. That's why he said he had to hear more of her voice because it was "interestingly weird." He knew there was something in her voice. And boom, he heard more Red Velvet songs and saw how much of a powerful vocalist Wendy was.

I’m so happy that you react to them! Red Velvet is in my top 3 girl group and their vocals are everything. They are so versatile, they did a lot of concept: cute, summer, horror, weird, and even more! I think you should react to “Monster” its their latest comeback as a sub unit (Irene and Seulgi (the one you like). The main vocalist, Wendy (white hair) is on hiatus right now but she is better now so they are probably have a comeback in October/December. 😊
Some of the song I recommend: bad boy, zimzalabim, red flavour, really bad boy, umpah umpah, power up. (Red Belvet is also known as bside queen so you should react to some of them too.)
Oh and in the song that I recommend I forgot “Peek a boo”!
