This video works through a numeric example of parallel resonance. We examine resonant frequency, bandwidth, system Q, and more. We also consider how we might modify the circuit to alter the bandwidth.

Professor Fiore, I always enjoy your concise and lucid explanations of electrical concepts, this video being no exception. I think a lab demonstration of these concepts would breathe some real life into your lectures and also allow for further “tinkering” and experimentation. If you ever feel so compelled, I highly recommend the Digilent Analog Discovery (with or without impedance module) for such demonstrations. They are amazingly useful instruments that are a pleasure to use and highly accurate as well. And extremely affordable.
