Many thanks for the wonderful music you upload. So many composers that were unknown to me and never heard on classical music stations. You seem to have unlimited knowledge!
I agree! This channel is a treasure-trove of great music by composers I have often, at best, only heard of. Plus the accompanying art work. It is like visiting the National Gallery of Art here in Washington,DC or the Louvre. Hurrah for Pau NG!
@@Reciclassicat Apparently there are at least 10,000 symphonies surviving from the 18th century, yet only a small percentage have been evaluated, let alone performed.
If there are no records of this composer's birth, how are we so sure he was Polish? Engel could be German, Dutch or even Danish. It's a mystery never to be solved. Great music though.
;-) Saludos,
Jan Engel (?-1788) seems to have talent in this symphony, I like it, I am sometimes asking what he did after 1776 (more precisely) and if we can know a possible decade of birth or we may have a picture by him, I am curious of this Composer (and not only that).
Fabuleux.
Thank you for posting this piece. Another wonderful & under appreciated Baroque composer.

In fact, there are thousands of composers never recovered yet! The history of music seems has no limits! Thanks!

Just discovered your channel and I am amazed
Painting - View of Warsaw from the terrace of the royal castle (1773)

The birth year remains unknown yet and no portrait available either.
