No words... these cars are beyond emotions, and are timeless. Thanks for share this beautiful footage. I shared with all my rally friends
Sports cars , entertainment and achievement!🔥👌
That RS200 tickover at 0.14s is mental

I've seen quite a lot of those 😊
Looks mostly UK events from 85/86.
Went to loads of them fantastic days
Tony pond in the 6R4 on the manx was epic
Fantastic footage the golden era of rallying superb
8 minutes of petrolhead heaven - thanks for posting!
Some great “Manx International Rally” clips there, especially Pond in the 6r4 at Sulby, visibly quicker than the rest, great days….before they started putting chicanes in to make it “safer”….😔. Sat on a hedge at 1am in the morning , hearing an Audi Quattro chirping it’s way towards you , or a 6r4 with its barking engine note, shattering the almost silent manx countryside was something I’ll never forget….👍🇮🇲👌🏆
We have lots of Manx footage in the archive so expect some great videos coming up 😊
@@SpecialStage excellent….Thankyou for the reply, look forward to seeing them👍🇮🇲👌
OMG, what a time to be alive and watching these weapons, thanks for the video
The golden age of rallye race during the 80's with the groupe B 🌟
The S4 was a beast!!!!
The 80’s and 90’s were a wild time in motor sport. These cars and 500 cc two strokes ruled the day
The Meteo makes me laugh it's just crazy, love this footage thanks.
Your right group B unseen footage 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Thank you 🤗🤗
Wow! Some fabulous good quality footage on offer here
Today’s WRC is just pissing in the wind compared to this.
Great work Wayne and the special stage team 👍 really excited to see more from the archive!
The 80's and 90's Raw Rally Racing unforgettable Golden years!!!!🔥RRR❤
Thank you. That sound of the turbocharged inline 5 is much more than I could ever hope for.
when xmas comes in February!! SUPER video, thanks!
Signed up already can't wait to see more Group B Unseen footage
Oh my goodness, those sounds 👌🏻
Some random dude casually dropping group b footage like its no big deal.
Thank u man love it❤
Thank you for sharing! 🙌🙌🙌
Group B The best
Awesome quality. Thx
All these cars look and sound amazing, but that sound from the Audi's 5 cylinder turbo engine is just pure perfection.
Awesome compilation! 🎉🎉
Thank you!
Looks like the Ford was the only car with a good working suspension compare to our days. Great Video!
Its because rs200 had double shock-absorbers rear and front (front too as i remember, but car itself is too muchv heavy), while Delta S4 had only at the back due to lack of space at the front. Lack of shock-absorbers perfomance, whats solved with modern tech shock-absorbers and could be seen¬iced at nowadays hillclimb championships where Delta S4 is still holding top places.
its really amusing to me that apparently no one thought of making a good suspension yet by 1986. that bouncing quattro at 0:24 is just painful to look at. its no wonder group A was almost immediately faster than these when they had to actually start using brain to develop cars and not just add more power and wing.
I absolutely love your work man. You are a very clever chap. One day I would love to have a car for you to work your magic on
i used to love these cars back in the day
I love it. Thank you very much
Great new stuff!!!!
Those were the days🏁
awesome
It really is unseen.
Thank for sharing
'Try your brakes' @ 7:06 😅😁 Great video!
exclnt video, such incredible cars
Unvergesslich ! 👌🏻😍
Fantastic stuff
Glad you enjoyed it!
Freakin awesome
Outstanding
Those engines were under serious stress...crazy stuff.💙🏁
Impressive, so in control!
Is it sad that I could probably have a good crack at identifying all the drivers and rallies for each clip? 😂
That just sounds like some solid knowledge! You love to see it👌
@@SpecialStage Well I very much appreciate the support! 👍
you dont have to be an Audi fan to love the Audi Quattro
Yes..more.
Feckin brilliant brother trucker ❤ it brought back a lot of memories I could even smell it
That peeled open 205 was amazing 😆
I run a 5 cylinder Twin turbo its heaven never listen to the radio!
Fantastic era of Rallying and drivers .. 👍
5 cylinder audi !! Literally the sound of my youth
This was just a different time compared to the modern day garbage. Sure we have technology now, but it would have been something special to witness these fire breathing dragons in real life.
0:28 San Andreas flashbacks kicked in
Még volt szerencsém látni ilyen "gépcsodákat". 🤗🙂
Goosebumps! 🥰
Ah, the days of the Lombard RAC rally, just superb!
Awesome collection with some very nice variety. A bit surprised to see no 037, but I suppose the focus on AWD is quite deliberate :-)
We sadly just don't have any period footage of the 037, our archive starts in the early 80s but with mostly UK events, although this video was indeed focusing on the 'famous' Group B cars that are the most well known and we will do more in the future with some of the others
@@SpecialStage It never fully occurred to me, but the 037 really was a rare guest on the British isles, huh? I think I once saw Pentti Airikkala throwing an 037 around the tight corners of either a Manx or Circuit of Ireland aaand... that's pretty much it? Kind of a shame it didn't get too many chances to shine on your side of the Channel, but at least it leaves more room for the RS200, that thing really entered the stage too late.
No way modern wrc can come close to these monsters and this era!!!
In every aspect 80's motorsport was mental
These machines had soul. Imagine electric rally of the future. No noise, heavy beasts. It'll be so much less dramatic.
Nice to see this all british footage 👍 really cool
Excellent footage! Same time next week for Group A Rally unseen??
I guess Group A could be next 😉
Great footage, those Audi's handle like boats. Technology has definitely moved on a lot since these days. Must have been hard work driving these cars.
May have handle like boats but early quattros Doninated rally so much so Every works team went 4wd to keep up !!!
Awesome. Just subscibed
Thanks for the sub!
Thank you 😊 loads more to come!
5 cylinder sound is music !
8 minutes and 6 seconds of cars trying to murder their own occupants! No better sound in rallying since the Grp B Audi Quattro. (or possibly even before?) Glorious!
0:27 when you set up your dampers wrong 😂
you can see they are insanly fast....holly molly smokes
GroupB最高!
Would love to see some of the Beddgelert forest stage they pitted after the stage in the car park of my dads pub in waunfawr (Snowdonia park hotel)I still have some Polaroid photos of the crews/cars etc
Driving Group B on Manx tarmac must have been butt clenching.
Wunderbar!
Crazy RS200 breathing fire
I love the MG Metro 6R4 an the Nissan 240RS, so seein the Metro 9 times is a big plus for me as it's normally left out of these rally montages or only gets 1 or 2 shots at best. Nice video though
Unglaublich ❤...und jetzt stellt euch vor, es wären e - Autos...😊
😂
Oh that unseen footage everyone seen a million times
'With unseen footage' not 100% unseen footage. You have not seen all of this footage before
😊👍👏veryGood!😊
Rapid dangerous ... thank you.
Was that John from The Grand Tour in a former life at 30 seconds?

Have you got any onboards from this era previously unseen. Also is this BHP archives or AListair Miller archives?
AMTV. We didn't get the onboards, there are some throughout the archive but not too many
@@SpecialStage they are the gold!
like Toyota Yartis with 450Hp - amazing.
❤❤❤
1:52😮
Does Ralley do a pure driver race with no coPilot?
There are similar events called Rally Sprints, these usually take place over the same short stage and don't always have a co-driver. Or you have Rallycross, which is more of a cross between Rallying and circuit racing as the cars go out racing against each other.
Also some of the Comp Safari events that we cover (Off road racing) are like rallying but you don't need a co-driver if you chose not to have one
Ale wtedy trzeba było mieć jaja aby opanować takie potwory.Szacun.
Monster of the gravel..
Just missed Renault 5 Turbo & Maxi Turbo, Lancia 037...
1:26 ahh so satisfying
1:54 - Tis but a scratch!
In these images (at the beginning especially) you can clearly see problem with Audi as a car where the front axle rules: its tendency to understeer makes car turn slower in corners. And with so much weight on the front axle, the rear axle cannot transmit as much torque and power to the rear axle as it should. With better oversteering behavior car would have been more agile, which is what would have made the front end point at the exit of the corner more quickly, which is the advantage of the "authentics Group B" with mid-engined being driven "almost" like a RWD.
Seen it before now
Audi was sponsored by rice crispy snap crackel and pop not really just bullshiting😂
It's a regrettable major tragedy that one of the erstwhile best events on the World Rally Championship, the RAC Rally is no longer in the championship. The genuine WRC in my view will always be MONTE CARLO, NEW ZEALAND, ARGENTINA, FINLAND, KENYA, RAC, SWEDEN and GREECE. Britain should pull all stops and go for reinstatement of this iconic event in the world championship. Legends like Roger Clark, Collin Macrae, Henri Toivonen, Hannu Mikola, Ove Andersson etc would turn in their graves if they learnt that the RAC rally is no longer on the WRC.
Ok just got 🎉😂❤
2:21 This cameraman obviously went to the same school as those hired for adult movie production, if you know what I mean
There is nothing that prepares you for the brutal savagery of a Group B quattro , flat out less than 20 feet away on a stage , it actually makes you want to do a poop . (The first time)
At least thats what i remember from Kielder forrest in the 80,s.
👍
