  • Sam and myself decided to take the "long way home" on the way back from the Saturday Cottonwood Canyon Ride so we jumped off the 79 on some two track and linked it back down to the Gila River West loop for a one way ticket home!
Jump on board as rip around and finish off one heck of a Saturday ride!
    Cheers!

Sam has definitely put some sweat equity into that Yamaha! He’s got 3 different bikes of the same or very similar style in fact!
He’s makes me want to get one! Lol

@@WhiteGravey I believe your referring to the race model. My sticker was 8.5 and I got it down to 7.9. I hope that helps for perspective, financially.

I have to agree, to close of a price to multiple Japanese bike's that have a proven track record of reliabilty.... Tenere 700, XR650L, DR650, DRZ400, WR450F, CRF300L, KLX300, etc... Being Chinese made it should of been cheaper.

I wanted to take a moment to speak to this comment as I did weigh out a good amount of the bikes you had listed.
Tenere 700 is msrp 10,999, weighs almost 100 lbs more and also holds that weight much higher on the bike. I have rode with 3 700's and all agree with this sentiment. The Kove makes for a superior off road bike compared to the much heavier tenere or xl650l.
Though the DR line is known for being very reliable, it lacks the modern tech and extra features the Kove offers such as fuel capacity and literal tech.
The WR, CRF, KLX may be closer to the Kove off road wise with compromise to power but there again, you will find that the Kove still hits more marks that both the smaller bikes miss such as the ability to maintain highway/freeway speeds and potential use as a daily commuter / dual sport.
Lastly but not least, reliability. Though Kove may be from China and also newer to the market, they have been proving themselves reliable year after year in both the Baja and Dakar races. I am really looking forward to seeing this company grow and shake up the market as we are already seeing happen with BMW coming out with their concept 450.
