The Arsenal fans that were slated for being delusional and 'Arteta' in have since been proved correct, because despite all the awful results, including a run of one win in 12, you could see good things happening on the pitch, which were getting better and better as soon as he started phasing out players that no longer served him or the club, and we are in a much better place for it. We're still by no means perfect, and are prone to having a shambolic performance every now and then, but that's par for the course in football.
Ten Hag though, looks like he's had no plan for a year and a half. I can think back to Leicester at home for United last season, I think it was 4-0 or 3-0 to Utd? The first half of that game they were carving Utd open for fun, could have been 3-0 at half-time to soon-to-be relegated Leicester. I remember Keane even said that at full-time in the studio, because again, his analysis is objective.
That's merely one example, and I only mention Arsenal and Emery because it is my point of reference, but that is exactly what was happening to Arsenal when he was the manager. We went on a 20+ game unbeaten run with only two draws in there, but we were getting battered in half of those games. Giving up 32 shots to Watford for example.
The only thing carrying us through were players stepping up in games when they felt like it, and purple patches. There was some good attacking play, but little-to-no structure. It came across extremely basic and fragile, which is what I'm seeing in this United side right now.
In all seriousness, 3-0 is a good result for United 😂
Rashford continuing to prove he's a purple patch player. His good spells are the exception to the rule - he is an average player, who will play well for a few games or maybe a season, and then drop off again. If he wasn't English there's no way there'd be this much praise for him.
He plays well when its time for a new contract and new earrings.

@@devinhines1318 Yeah and the thing is that Walcott was a decent player for us at the end of the day, but he just wasn't effective in some games against certain opposition, exactly like Rashford. Rashford can do a bit more with the ball at his feet for sure, and don't get me wrong, he is a good winger at the end of the day.
However, like Walcott, he relies too much on his pace. Once teams started to figure him out and he lost a bit, he fell off dramatically. And he was a player that was clever with the timing of his runs as well as his positioning. Also had a pop at goal when perhaps he should have squared it. Was a purple patch player too. Sounds a bit like Rashford?

The issue in this league is the lack of consistency and the issue is. Whenever someone goes to the monitor you know they're just going to overturn their on field decision.... I can't recall a time they've gone to the monitor and they have stuck to their guns. At that point It happened I knew the game was done.
