Even if you don't get 5 star units, 3 stars (or 4 stars if you get some of those) can be really good as long as you level them up and plan correctly. There is a channel called Honako Green who played through all of Camelot with only 1-3 star servants. Robin Hood and Cu Chulain (the lancer with the red spear) are really good 3 star servants use.

People really make a big deal out of Gawain, but man have you looked at any of your 3 star archers Even robin at lvl 40 with a single arts buff deals more than 100,000 damage to a poisoned enemy
Myst I think James meant one shot = one hit kill which is true , this is not one shot , just that you could easily defeat him ( If we don't count the fact of losing a servant to be a bad thing ).

Yup, understood the joke. And you don't have to worry , just own a friend with a maxed Orion and/or Euryale with decent skill levels, CEs will help you as well but tbh it's not Gawain's HP that matters the most , it's the fact that he gets a buff that reduces dmg.
Tbh you don't need a maxed Orion. Mine is 6/6/6 and she did enough with one Tri-Star to the face. If you add Tama's 3rd Skill at level 10 to the mix, though, she can reduce his HP to 1/3rd in a single Tri-Star.

i use the stall team (jeanne + waver + euryale) to clear this took me 20 turns and lots of invincible... i at least put one berserker for finisher tho....

Hmm, lacking both Tamamo and Waver and having to call one of those out from the friend list, as well as lacking Elizabeth and Camilla, who'd be useful enough as debuffers to put in their place? Thinking maybe Eric and Mata Hari since they can stack defense down debuffs, and with picking Tamamo from the friend list, using Hans in Waver's place maybe. Gonna need a bit of luck for that last one though. Any other suggestions? Without Waver's NP charge though, I'll be using command seals to get Euryale's (and Mozart's) NP up in time.
Took me three days to beat this guy. I went into it too underleveled (average lvl of 56). Came back when I got my Orion up to 70 and just barely beat Gawain. My lowest servant on the team was Emiya at 50 but he finished the job for me.

And there I was, having an intense fight with him. 95 level Raikou, np level two with the three time invincibility buff. Besides her was Ishtar, after was Bedivere because I do the story only with guests, and then there was Okita Souji, Mash and lastly, Mecha Eli Chan. I just wanted to keep the team brute force my way through Gawain aka Escanor. Ishtar managed to kick his ass eventually being the last one standing. Shot Venus at him like 4 or 5 times.
I remembered my battle with Gawain, using Euryale, Waver then David, Robin (Emiya and Kid Gil as back row). Wolfgang a great utility to Arts Servants but have you used Paracelsus another good utility Arts servant.

It was not that hard for me ( even though I used one command spell to remax the HP of Orion ) , I was just too reckless and couldn't exit the game soon enough to save my waver from smth I could have avoided cause my game was laggy , I then lost emiya and nobu from his NP but Mash , Orion and Herc did a good job dealing with him with Orion as finisher. I didn't put too much though on leveling my Euryale so I used a support Orion instead . The thoughest this about Gavain is the "****" that he got from his superior [ don't wanna spoil ]

Euryale dealt 422k damage but Gawain has 427k HP. Without the chip damage this would not be a one-shot. A Black Grail would have made this an easy overkill.
First time it has like a 80% damage cut from incoming damage while the second fight is like 50%, don't know about the 3 or even if theirs more fights with him

True, that challenge was pretty good. Even with class disadvantage her crit can kill your servant easily
I struggled to get past Gawain and you come along and just destroy him just like that
The struggle for me mainly was optimizing the comp heh

I did it with emiya, orion, waver. Took me a few turns but it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be.
The front, this fight is actually very easy. Mordred is harder imo.
I took Orion Emiya and Gilg, but the real Mvp was Bestzerker. He will be grailed to 100 for his efforts!
On another note, i hope more fights in the future have unique gimmicks like this. Was fun to be on the edge of my seat for once!

Just make sure to level his skill up or pair him with shuten. Low level skill tend to make 2nd application will not have poison

Managed to beat him with my Squirtoria’s NP spam and repeated defenders and still had to rely on Kuro in the background to strike the final blows.
I was really worried abaut that guy when started camelot. But few enuma elish and command spells took care of him.

It is easy... Support stehno/ double euryale if you have stehno. I also find is doable with leveled mata hari

Sure was, but this is the harder quest in general as you only need to deal 25% of Gawain's health in damage in the first one.
