Bob Hope was truly a talented person. His career is really one of the most impressive in the History of Hollywood. He could act, dance, perform all sorts of public appearances and the list of his talents goes on and on. He was the Host of the Academy Awards Ceremony more than any other person, a total of 16 times as Host and countless other appearances. His energy level was amazing. He lived to be 100 years old and was for the most part of that life very active in the entertainment business. He is one of the most under appreciated of the actors from the Golden Age of Radio and Hollywood. Not to forget his activities with visiting the troops over the years. A truly amazing man.
I rate Bob Hope as the greatest American entertainer. He might have been born in London but he became an American citizen at age 17 years after his father was naturalized. That’s American enough for me! Hope did it all - vaudeville, radio, movies, tv, emceeing for the Academy Awards, and his special commitment to entertain our service men. And his longevity.
This was a very good episode of "Suspense" with Bob Hope in a dramatic role. I was fortunate to see Bob Hope when he was a headliner in the San Bernardino County Fair in 1968.
I actually met him when I was 12. I had a rich uncle who lived in San Diego, and also had a place in Palm Springs. Bob Hope was his friend and neighbor in Palm Springs along with several other big names from Hollywood! I've had quite a few moments with famous people! . . . At least for a guy from a little town in Michigan!
Who plays the punk who tries to blackmail Bob at the end then gets shot by William Conrad’s cop? I remember him on at least one episode of YOURS TRULY JOHNNY DOLLAR
BTW: The deep voice of the Suspense announcer belongs to voice master Paul Frees.
The episodes made between 1948 in 1949 when he was the announcer, are the best ones
Episodes that he was the announcer on were the best ones because you want to hear that beautiful voice he has

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. He was a great actor who in my opinion seemed overshadowed at times by others. 💃 20/05/2022 UK

Bob played it straight up dramatic. Pretty good.
He should have done more radio dramas
Bob Hope oes a good job in a serious role
Thanks for posting. I am a big Hope fan and have never had the pleasure of hearing this!
This is Bob Hope's only serious dramatic role.
+James Scott I think you're right! I can't think of any other. He did a good job, too.
Damn. Bob would have been excellent in radio dramas like Dragnet and Yours Truly Johnny Dollar.

I think it was GERALD MOHR
Thanks.
