Lyrics
Kissing like a bandit stealing time
Underneath the sycamore tree
Cupid by the hour sends valentines
To my sweet lover and me
Slowly but surely
Your appetite is more than I knew
Sweetly, softly
I'm falling in love with you
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of butterfly tears
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of crocodile cheers - sing!
Make it funky now, boys
Hugging like a monkey see, monkey do
Right beside a riverboat gambler ha, ha, ha, ha
Erotic images float through my head
Say you wanna be a midnight rambler
Gently but quickly
The blood races through my veins
Quickly, loudly
I wanna hear those sugar bells ring
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of butterfly tears
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of crocodile cheers
Get up now!
On the beat now, uh!
Come on!
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of butterfly tears
Come on!
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of crocodile cheers
Uh!
Yeah, I feel like goin' on, I feel like goin' on
(Wish me love, a wishing well to kiss and tell)
Come on, come on!
Erotic images float through here
Your midnight rambler, baby, uh
(Wish me love, a wishing well to kiss and tell)
Yeah hoo! Dig it! Follow you anywhere
I don't know, I don't care
(Wish me love, a wishing well to kiss and tell)
But all I know is that I gotta be a midnight rambler, baby, uh!

@@annieclisch he was very stylish. And had some moves too. 🙂
Thats the thing, plenty of music like this exists, you just wont find it by waiting for the radio to serve it to you, you gotta find it.

That is for sure
TTD should have been a major major star. Proof the listening public doesn't always know talent and good music. What a voice.
We already had Michael Jackson.
There's room for more than one. And TTD hard harder, solider music. IMHO.
It was the scandal that destroyed him because he was accused if murder. People loved him at the time.

I’m an old 65 years guy but when TTD came on the scene I thought he had all it needed to be a top star. He could write, dance and was a great looking bloke. Introducing the hardline was brilliant. Can’t believe he never made it massively. Still think his music is pretty brilliant.
His ego and inability to "play ball" with major labels adversely affected his career, in my opinion.
Hello, non-native english speaker here. What does "introducing the hardline" mean?
That's the title of his debut album :-)
Mirco Buchwitz Thanks. I felt a wee bit of pressure being asked what it meant and after some fruitless google searching I also concluded that ‘it was the title of his debut album’

@@Jevezy You inferred that he's not talented enough to be anything but a one-hit wonder. My point is that his talent, which speaks for itself, far exceeds the one-hit wonders i mentioned. The point is precisely that mediocre artists can be hitmakers while far superior talent can go unrecognized.

Aline Desiree Kezetmin since 1987 ttd now goes by sananda meitreiya.
Fantastic but what happened?
Yes, he's also a multi instrumentalist who plays guitars, bass, drums, sitar, keys, percussion... Too much talent! Unfortunately his record company essentially killed his career by not promoting his second album. He want to be a rock star, while industry types felt he should be an r 'n' b singer. After the success of his debut album and those hit singles one would think the record company would let him have his way. Kate Bush was another who had to fight her record company - they didn't want 'Wuthering Heights' as her debut single, but she fought until she got her way. It went to #1 - making her the first female singer to top the charts with a self-penned tune - and launched her very unique career. TTD, given the respect and support could have been massive.
Yes his voice is nice I like the scratch in it.
