Lyrics
Kissing like a bandit stealing time
Underneath the sycamore tree
Cupid by the hour sends valentines
To my sweet lover and me
Slowly but surely
Your appetite is more than I knew
Sweetly, softly
I'm falling in love with you
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of butterfly tears
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of crocodile cheers - sing!
Make it funky now, boys
Hugging like a monkey see, monkey do
Right beside a riverboat gambler ha, ha, ha, ha
Erotic images float through my head
Say you wanna be a midnight rambler
Gently but quickly
The blood races through my veins
Quickly, loudly
I wanna hear those sugar bells ring
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of butterfly tears
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of crocodile cheers
Get up now!
On the beat now, uh!
Come on!
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of butterfly tears
Come on!
Wish me love a wishing well to kiss and tell
A wishing well of crocodile cheers
Uh!
Yeah, I feel like goin' on, I feel like goin' on
(Wish me love, a wishing well to kiss and tell)
Come on, come on!
Erotic images float through here
Your midnight rambler, baby, uh
(Wish me love, a wishing well to kiss and tell)
Yeah hoo! Dig it! Follow you anywhere
I don't know, I don't care
(Wish me love, a wishing well to kiss and tell)
But all I know is that I gotta be a midnight rambler, baby, uh!
Wherever you are thank you.
Please bring back this music and style. Stuff on radio today doesn't even hold a candle to this.
Amen to that
Slick cat he is ! I agree with radio " crap " - I rather spin something old school , true voices and artists actually playing instruments, who would have thunk it ? Happy Easter fellow authentic music lover !

He was one of the major unsung reasons that the 80s was the last great decade of music
Wtf are you talking about? 80s was fine but among the worst prior to 2010

TTD should have been a major major star. Proof the listening public doesn't always know talent and good music. What a voice.
We already had Michael Jackson.
There's room for more than one. And TTD hard harder, solider music. IMHO.
It was the scandal that destroyed him because he was accused if murder. People loved him at the time.
Was he convicted?

@@Jevezy You inferred that he's not talented enough to be anything but a one-hit wonder. My point is that his talent, which speaks for itself, far exceeds the one-hit wonders i mentioned. The point is precisely that mediocre artists can be hitmakers while far superior talent can go unrecognized.
