Still my best song

Wrote this for Barbara, then made a video of it with some of her sketches. This was in 2022. Makes us both cry to hear it again.
I’ve gained weight and depth
The volume of a Great Lake now floods my heart
Two mountains and a redwood forest
Float within my breast
By meeting you, yesterday was the Renaissance
And tomorrow I orbit the galaxy
The moccasin softly on pine needles
The grace it takes
With you in me
To carry all that I am
