With love a good few of The Acorns delivered to Glasgow would be great to have something so big up here as for sweet chestnuts I found out sweet chestnuts don't grow good at all in Scotland so if you can eat acorns I would love some if it is possible hope you and your lovely family are keeping good
That was lovely. Thank you. The first tree I planted on my land was an oak, from an acorn I picked up on my travels. Just think… I planted a tree that will, if allowed to grow, be here for many generations to enjoy That’s a nice thought 😊
A blue jay dropped an English Oak acorn from this year's tree. I'll be planting. When the Bluejay picked up a 🥜 peanut. I picked up the oak acorn. I then put it in water and it sank so that means it's a good seed. I planted in the moist soil keep it moist so it doesn't dry out rot but becomes a new sprout seedling. I don't wish squirrels find it.
As always Dane and family such a joy to watch your videos and hear your knowledge. Buy Danes books, they are a wealth of knowledge of our natural environment. 🥰👍🏴
Oh my Lord! You are a fountain of wonderful knowledge, thank you 🙏 Besides Amazon, which I don’t have, is there anywhere else I can buy your book please?
I absolutely love your enthusiasm! I love the mighty Oak. I often visit an old growth White Oak (Quercus alba) that is over 400 yrs old. Sending love from Michigan USA. 💚🌳💚
These amazing trees take me back to when i was a boy, They were great for climbing and making a tree house in, Very rare a branch snapped, Extremely strong. Not to many birds nests, but occasional owl roosting in them. Thanks for the info and the trip down memory lane
Thanks for that Dane that was really lovely information. I always realize the oak was important, but there was some information I didn’t have so thanks.❤
What a sweet way to explain it all about this mighty tree. I have also planted seeds from many Irish local trees, and the Oak is the most easy one to get thriving! ❤ Such a gift to this planet. As you are! Thanks for your enthusiasm and information. Maria
@@homeiswhereourheartis I'll have to give that a try. I've been growing my own Burdock after watching one of your videos about making your own dandelion and burdock drink, still not got around to making an attempt though!! Thanks for the reply:D
Central Texas USA here. We have Live Oaks. Beautiful magestic trees. We, also, have my favorite: the gorgeous Spanish Oak. Its leaves turn golden orange in fall.
You’re such a great teacher. Love your enthusiasm. We gave our son the middle name Aiken which means acorn or little oak tree. He’s quite tall and mighty now 😊
Of all the trees that grow so fair, old England to adorn Greater are none beneath the sun than Oak, and Ash, and Thorn Sing Oak, and Ash, and Thorn, good sirs All on a midsummer's morn Surely we'll sing of no little thing In Oak, and Ash, and Thorn

Love the video. My oak tree had an abundance of acorns last year. This year nothing.😢
❤😊
who wrote that poem?
Me! All the poems in our videos and books are by myself 😁
Of all the trees that grow so fair, old England to adorn
Greater are none beneath the sun than Oak, and Ash, and Thorn
Sing Oak, and Ash, and Thorn, good sirs
All on a midsummer's morn
Surely we'll sing of no little thing
In Oak, and Ash, and Thorn
also, if they float they're no good right? or is it if they sink? i think it's float...
And people say God doesn't exist 😢
Love learning more about our amazing nature ❤
