  • Lurvey Tools of the Trade - Putting the Grabo to the Test
    The Nemo Power Tools Grabo is a one of a kind tool that allows you to pick up all kinds of materials from stone to glass to porcelain but just how strong is it? Eric, our tool specialist in Des Plaines, has a little bit of fun pushing the Grabo to its limit to see exactly what it's capable of!
    *** Disclaimer: Please always be careful when lifting heavy objects. Though a single Grabo can handle some of the objects you will see in the video that does not mean that a single person should lift those objects. Be safe and know your own limits.

    That is very impressive. I have a couple of these and have never lifted anything heavier that a 24" x 48" piece of porcelain which is about 90 lbs. Nice to know the unit works on pieces that are much heavier.

      For super smooth items the tool is rated up to some pretty impressive numbers!

    Great video. Starting a job moving 2000 sqft of 16x24 travertine so this will come in handy

    great just a little design flaw with the release button very close and you can accidently bump it while carrying a heavy object and then possibly having the item fall on your feet...

    What straps are they your using ?? do u have a link ??

    • @LurveySupplyingLandscapes

      Those straps were included with the original Grabo but as the tool has evolved they no longer are included. Here is a link to the product on our website - lurveys.com/retail/product/nemo-grabo-pro-portable-electric-vacuum-lifter/

    Did you test it on dry cast pavers?

    • @LurveySupplyingLandscapes
      @LurveySupplyingLandscapes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have. It can't handle nearly the amount of weight due to the porous surface on dry cast pavers but it can still be a useful tool!

    • @tylerbowen6275
      @tylerbowen6275 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What kind of weight did you get up to? I was recommended by a local dealer to avoid it for dry cast products all together but it would be great even for some of the slabs that come in paver / slab combo packages

      Thanks in advance!

      Individual pavers or wall block that is smooth are the heaviest that we tried. It wasn't consistently able to hold those. It really can't create the seal on dry cast pavers.

      I actually bought it and have tested it with dry cast through mix and facemix. It didn't work for me for through mix unilock or techo bloc, but works for facemix (e.g. unilock beacon hill, techbloc HD series).
