WHERE TO STOP ALONG THE ICEFIELDS PARKWAY | MOST SCENIC road trip from BANFF to JASPER

Today we make our way to Banff's little sister, Jasper. To get to Jasper there is a 230 km journey starting at Lake Louise. This drive is called the Icefields Parkway. This road trip is considered one of the most scenic and now I know why.
Along this 200 km journey, there are many stops along the way. In this vlog, I show you my top MUST SEE stops. All of the stops have signs along the Icefields Parkway. So don't worry, you can't miss these stops. Our first stop was Bow Lake, which you don't need a lot of time at. Next stop was Peyto Lake, and yes the color of the water is seriously that blue! We couldn't believe our eyes at how blue the water was. To get to Peyto Lake, there is a guick little hike to get to the view point. If you want to avoid most of the tourist, there is another hike to higher viewpoint, which we did not do but wish we had. Our third stop was Athabasca Glacier. We were originally going to to spend the money to do a tour that physically takes you on to the glacier. This tour also included the glacier skywalk. After reaching the glacier and seeing the truck on the glacier, we opted to save the money and just hike to the toe. Why did we decide to save the money you ask. Well, we did all meet in Iceland and we physically have already been on and inside a glacier and it didn't look like something that would have topped out Iceland glacier experience. So instead we walked/hiked to the toe for free! The hike is not bad, but make sure you cover your ears because the wind was brutal and we all have ear aches and couldn't stay too long up at the toe. The next stop was Sunwapta Falls. The view point is right at the parking lot, you can hear the raging falls the second you hop out of you car. There are many different view point where you can admire the falls. The last and finally big stop was Athabasca Falls.
In addition to our 5 big MUST SEE stops along the way, we also stopped many times along the Icefields Parkway to admire all the amazing falls, mountain peaks and lakes along the way. No matter where you choose to stop, you won't be disappointed because there is beauty everywhere you turn.
