*Fair warning, I do ramble and rant about the recent 3G shutdown here in Australia and how we've decided to panic block thousand of phones because they don't know if they'll work, it's silly* Well now this was an interesting one. Yes it's another dumbphone but could it be the first with 4G and VoLTE support? Check the phone out here if you want: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007114901358.html (Not an affiliate link or anything, it's just a link straight to the phone) Greetings everyone and welcome back to another installment in my iWish series! I appreciate everyone that donated on that live stream, thank you so much and I hope you'll enjoy this video! Let me know what you thought of this one down below, I can't really knock it for being only pretty much $30 delivered. Basically nothing but the mainstream phones sold to the Australian market work on Telstra... :( You need special software built into the phone that allows you to connect to Telstra's VoLTE network, otherwise it blocked. Telstra's VoLTE is non standardised.
Typical Telstra hey! Well I'm happy with it working on Optus and Vodafone, I didn't think it would even work on any network to be honest. I'm finding Vodafone works with most devices I test but I know now to try Telstra in any other phone reviews lol
Is this certain? Here in Poland, carriers also block VoLTE on devices they don't sell. However, most of them will unlock it if you contact customer support (or unlock it yourself on your side - Orange), only one carrier has shut 3G down and another is in progress, and no one's really speaking about 2G shutdown just yet.
hello sir jeffreys fun fact about the 3g turn off this also affected the goverment itself with their systems (in NSW as far as i am ware with work) because they used 3G in most of their equipment
Seems like banning 3G and older 4G phones that support 3G would only be hurting elder people down there. So now grannies and grandpa's have to go buy themselves new phones with features they arent interested in at all and that they otherwise would have never bought. Yep that sounds "reasonable."
You know I didn't even mention anything during the stream when you were getting this phone. But there's no more 3G or 4G in Australia anymore the Australian government cut it off. Chinese mainlanders were super upset about it They filed a petition They thought it was anti-Chinese stuff but turns out the 5G leader is actually just the 3G leader
the QR seems to lead to a basic website about how to put the SIM into the phone and maybe some other basic info? i didn't translate it but the site looks like it relates to info about using the SIM.

Filial piety is for real. It is a Chinese virtue that is parents, grandparents, and older people should be treated with honour and respect.

The day that these welcome nuggets run out of generic parts, its fair to say the world is already over
the qr code at 22:08 leads to a page that seems to explain how to insert sim cards, at least based on the pictures (the text is all chinese)
Oh no you pressed the buttons!
