If you're able to go into Baja fishing tackle and Lomita they can set you up with everything. I know they have everything in stock. What you're going to want is a stiffer rod if you can do a conventional real so able to rest your rod on the rail that's a big deal. For the half day boats you could get away with 10 lb line all the way up to 40 lb line. I'd get a size 2 J hook if you saw the hooks I was using in this video as reference anything like that should work well. I like the "glow tail" hooks. You will want a couple of 6, 8, and 10 oz weights. You'll do a double dropper Loop setup AKA high low rig. Bottom hook will be about two feet from your weight and another one about 2 ft above that. The deck hands also can tie those for you so you get the right spacing. Good luck out there all those boats are good Spitfire is another good one
