Hello , i have a question , i have a old plasma tv , LG 50PM6800 from year 2012 - 2013, problem is blacks are dark gray , pixels cant go dark , in some test videos can go black for only 5 seconds and goes gray agan , and bright colors have sparkle all over the screen like red and yellow dots flashes also having some buzzing sounds comes from right top of screen like old crt tv's , what parts i should change , i belive i should doit my self because most places in here not repairs plasma tv s , thanks , i hope you can give me some idea , looks like i need it 🙂
Hi the Lg plasmas have never been too good on the blacks, lots of discharge too. Is there like a red rash on the screen ? I’d advise a control board recap first.
Been working on an old colour crt today, its an absolute joy to work on compared to these lcds ,sometimes i wonder if they design them asif to maximise the chance of breaking something getting them to bits. ' strips of metal that push in right next to panel ribbons etc. Theres a certain connector alot of the vestel tvs use thats also absolute garbage. As soon as i see those particular leds and connectors i know its the connectors with high resistance and not the leds , youll know the ones i mean, just dog shit design

This is just so crap too, thing has wasted so much time. Still on the bench as too busy
