  • Watch as BIrgit creates a peeled paint effect with clear tape, a Gelli Arts® printing plate, and acrylic paints. Amazing - you'll want to try this one - and maybe a few other steps you invent yourself.
    First she applies strips of adhesive tape in rows across the Gelli® plate. She leaves small openings in between the strips of paint and then she starts to print. She applies multiple colors for each set of prints - and the more prints she does the better the effect.
    And in the end you will have gorgeous strips of tape to use in your other mixed media projects.

    Fabulous effect!! I like the control you have with the smaller plate. I'm always looking for ways to get my artistic oldest grand-niece into new art forms. This would be something she would love!

      You probably dont give a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies on Instaflixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend during the lockdown xD

    I watched twice twice, so I’m sure you put paint *under* the paint. But I’m scratching my head wondering where it went ;^). Did the brayer gradually force it through the spaces between the tape? That’s my best guess. I’m trying this tonight? ❤️ 💕 💗

    In this case, your "rub off" paper (as well as the tape) has lots of possibilities.

    brilliant! does the plate need cleaning after removing the sellotape? does it leave a sticky residue?

    At the very end you could have rolled white paint over the whole plate and pulled it off with a kraft type paper and the dried lines would have come off as well.

  • @judyhyland9483
    @judyhyland9483 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Also, why does so much paint stick to the plate instead of the paper??? Anyone? Help?

  • @judyhyland9483
    @judyhyland9483 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why am I getting lines when using brayer? Too much paint? Help!!! I also get so many white splotches where the paint doesn’t adhere to the paper.....sigh. This looks so easy.....what am I missing???

    • @rosethorne7973
      @rosethorne7973 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm trying to work out why. Maybe you're not using enough paint hence the lines and the white area's. Hope you work it out.

    Can you suggest where in the UK we can buy the Deco Art Media Fluid Acrylics? I have tried Googling it, but no luck finding a retailer or online supplier

    Does the Gelli Plate naturally yellow with use or is it from not cleaning it properly?
