The Shadows play Pulaski, Apache, F.B.I from Live from the Palladium - 18th October1987 The Shadows Collectors Corner Facebook Page: / 1379754715562846
This performance was done perhaps in the 70’s by judging the hairstyles. They were the original artists and songwriters of the song Apache. They were ahead of their time in their music 🎼 and the Beatles always gave credit to this group for also being an influence on their music. The only thing that happened was that the Beatles came to America and the Shadows didn’t. The Shadows tried many times since 1960 to come to America but, weren’t successful in doing so. I don’t know if the Shadowy knew Little Richard because Little Richard told Ed Sullivan about the Beatles. Perhaps in later years the Shadows might’ve come over to America but, I don’t have any knowledge of that. During the time of the British Invasion would’ve been a perfect time for them come and perform. Who knows who their managers were they could’ve negotiated with Ed Sullivan it just didn’t happen.
No not the 1970s. This was Oct 18, 1987 (as it says under the video). The band were the original performers of Apache and two of those on stage here (Bruce Welch and Hank Marvin) were on the original record 27 years earlier. The tune was written by Jerry Lordan, however, not them. The Shadows certainly did come to America and appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, before the Beatles did, in 1963 (here they are doing it, with Cliff Richard - th-cam.com/video/hLW5ldlCgSY/w-d-xo.html). Maybe you are right, if they had delayed their visit until the British Invasion things might have been different, but the fact it they came when they were the top UK pop act (before the Beatles) and America didn’t take to them.

Brian Bennett is a superb drummer
Excellent video. Greetings from Chile
Brilliant as usual
😢Brian Bennett you are a great musician
Beautiful keyboard accompaniment from Cliff Hall on "Apache" given that "Strings" were not used on the recording in 1960
Cliff halls great 🎼🇬🇧
Wundervolle Musik
Sono stati gli idoli degli anni 60 ed erano solo in 4, mancava il tastierista che a quei tempi non era previsto nei gruppi alla Beatles
Immortal
Wunder bare Music
Thanks to the skill fulness of CLIFF HALL😊

This was in the 80ies when Tarby presented it.
not songwriters of apache, it's a song written by Jerry Lordan
Jerry Lordan wrote quite a few to be fair. Wonderful Land, Atlantis & Diamonds if memory serves me correctl.

Beste er my heros from 1960
Hank's guitar sounds somewhat similar to 1989 At Liverpool. Is it the same equipment?
Sounds like the inspiration for the early Mega Man tracks!
