@@Knockedy meh the CGI was hit or miss. The bat fight had some great well incorporated cgi. The first fight of the anime sucked though. It's pretty obvious MAPPA doesn't have bad animators based on JJK. They just gotta shift their priorities and stop wasting time on 12 different EDs and polish the episode more.

They might as well have saved the opening for the end of EP1, or at least lay the credits over the final scene like they did with JJK's first episode. This isn't a serious gripe, I just find it weird that they didn't have anything for the first ending.

The fact this song is called in the back room, and this episode was based on the eternity devil makes me applause for the producers. Denji literally killed the backrooms
Also the song talks about a guy who is after someone else without knowing if he loves that person or not but yet he still can do anything for that person
At the same time he realized that he was just trapped in a spell or cursed loop made by that one person that does not let him free himself from it, just like a Backroom there's no exit.
Ah well, I thought this episode is a reference to the infinite hotel paradox?

@@hisokacranel7268 problem with horse animation... i heard its hard to do so, they would do so much CGI, im aware of this posibility.
If you're interested, Dorohedoro did something similar with I think 6 different endings over 12 episodes. Funnily enough Dorohedoro was also done by Mappa so I think you could say that was the inspiration behind the "new ending for every episode" idea.

毎話ラストシーンの余韻そのまま引き継いでるの天才的すぎる、、、どのEDも他の話のEDになり得ないあたり毎話変えてることの使い方が上手すぎる。

永遠の悪魔の気味の悪さを錯覚系の名画や馬(回転式で一定の動きが続く原初のアニメーション)で表してるのがエンディングムービーの制作陣に匠を感じた。syudouさんの楽曲も相まってめちゃくちゃ素晴らしい作品になっててほんとすごい。

この曲名とか歌詞の元ネタが The backrooms っていう海外発祥の創作都市伝説なんでそれもあると思う
そもそも都市伝説のほうのバックルームの有名なゲームには、馬の影絵をつくることで脱出できる部屋があるとか無いとか

I don’t know why, but the horse/kirin near the end is one of the most badass things in the whole anime, imo.
Like, horses are not normally very scary because they are naturally skittish and not normally aggressive. But domestic horses are large, formidable creatures. If one came after you, it can kill you easily. Now imagine a horse that is even bigger, covered in jutting spikes and protrusions, and is ominously turning it’s head toward you while at a full gallop. That is why that horse/kirin thing is so intimidating.
Let's not forget how this horse has a literal gun barrel for a face ahah

@@samiamrg7 Its mouth is a gun barrel. If you look at where its nostrils should be, you'll see the cannon. Try maybe increasing the brightness of the screen, since the horse itself is pretty dark. It's supposed to represent the gun devil, I'm guessing. It's more obvious when it turns to face the camera.

'4 horseman of the apocalypse' foreshadowing
I'm still thinking this ED has the coolest concept so far, very artistic and stylistic with many hidden hints from the story and characters in the show.
ホテルの階がループして外に出られない5話の様子とthe backroomsの不規則な部屋を永遠と彷徨う恐怖感がマッチしてて好き。
その他にも先のストーリーを思わせる演出が細かくちりばめられてて好き。
ゴールド・エクスペリエンス・レクイエムパワーちゃんが好き。syudouさんの曲もかっこよくて好き。

Chainsaw Man is what got me back into anime after being away from it for almost 5 years. The storytelling, suspense, and artwork really drew me to it and I can’t wait for season 2!

The foreshadowing in this ending is absolutely insane. A visual treat for anime onlys while giving hints to what comes next for manga readers, definitely the best ending so far

All the horses are definitely a treat for the manga readers. Even the horse colors match their description in Revelations.
White is conquest, black is famine, red is war and the pale horse is death. And finally the cute plush horse for the new conquest.
SPOILERS
Theres also that one scene that teases that Makima has 2 sides with the other one having the red halo around her head and later you see the brain matter halo spinning in detail. The scene with the paintings being splattered with blood are portraits of all the characters and at the end what looks like Aki walking down stairs but is actually a guns barrel. You can also see Powers hammer in the wreckage flying through. There is also that one scene with the 4 horsemen all seemingly trying to get away from the infinite spinning chainsaw chain. Just some things i noticed c:

I don't think certain horses represent any one horseman, especially since there's five of them in this intro and one of them is Himeno for whatever reason. Not to mention the final horse is an allusion to the gun devil, so I just think the horses have double meanings. I do like the plush horse representing Nayuta though, that one had me stumped for a while.
@@bigfreshsauce3857 This could be true as i also found it a little confusing since we dont see a pale horse anywhere. More over Himeno isnt exactly a horse but a Centaur meaning what? But we also did have that scene with the 4 horsemen around the infinite chainsaw chain so they all were referenced? Then we also see the brain matter halo fade into a close up of the white horse BUT ALSO if you look closely at the horses head you can see its nose is a pistol which would hint at both the Gun Devil and Control Devil? Followed up with Aki walking in barrel riflings it makes sense? Theres alot to unpack here and unfortunately my braincells are too few for it. I think this ending has short circuited and fried my brain with all the details.
Edit: in the transition after the black horse we can see quick cuts showing us an infinity symbol made of something followed up by the black horse, the plush horse, Centaur Himeno, then a red figure looking like a horse and as the last one another darker horse looking figure.

I say that because it's covered with many fingers, like the first technique we saw from Makima.
Not to mention that flesh halo shape that appeared at the time.
This one will probably remain one of my favorites just from all the mind-boggling imagery. Seriously. Can't thank the MAPPA team enough for all the countless hours of work for us to be enjoying this series. I look forward to the endings every episode and come back to rewatch them on this platform.

I really liked how much this ending foreshadowed and referenced current events in the manga like the four horsemen.
曲も勿論最高なんだけど作画構成が天才すぎる。
カッコ良すぎて中二病の悪魔に懐柔されて無限に聞いてられる。
Whoever came up with the idea of a different ending for each episode is a god, I have enjoyed each one and expect the next. Top tier adaptation
