I have a rattan rolling drinks bar with intricate side woven trellacing with which I plan to cover with the silk line of Dixie Belle. I hope this will be suitable. Your video is so absorbing and the calm voice makes it a good teachable moment. Thank you for being you.
I wish this video had been available four/five years ago when I painted a unit in my bathroom with 2 woven drawers! Great video and thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this video. I recently chalk painted an old wicker chair and have been looking for a good sealer. I don’t have Dixie Bell products, but do have minwax polycrylic. Will be finishing my chair today.😊
Just curious why do so many people on YT use “designer” or “boutique” label finishes rather than products like typical hardware and paint store water based off the shelf finishes? It seems the designer labels are so much more expensive. Whats the major difference?
I started out years ago using fairly cheap chalk style paint from a DIY store and gradually started using and experimenting with different brands, buying lots of tester pots along the way! Some I loved, some I hated. A lot comes down to personal preference and individual painting style. The more experienced I got as a painter, the more I realised that it’s worth spending a bit more money on quality brands
It really depends on what you’re painting and the colour you’re using. BOSS is to stop bleed through and Slick Stick is to help paint adhere to surfaces that are shiny like plastic and glass.
@@faffdesignsif I bought a natural color rattan headboard and want to paint it a nice bright white, what’s the best way to do this, and for the paint not to crack? Any tips?

Beautiful. Never thought of the water bit. Are you from Texas? You have an accent. 😊
I’m from the UK 😀
Why don't you have a drop cloth on that nice table that you are doing your work on?
It was probably getting painted at some point 😂

They are more expensive and these TH-camrs get the stuff for free. Products in the local store are just as good

Should I used Slick Stick or Boss before the paint ?
