All the actors in the leading roles did a superb job in bringing their characters to fruition. The CP between the leading couple was an extra bonus. Kudos to the director to give us a drama of this quality.
Yes! Everybody, but the EX-wife’s commencial husband. 😂😂He was more into his looks and seemed a tag uncomfortable whenever the camera was on him😂😂 good thing the rest of the actors covered his poor acting well that a lot of people didn't notice how bad his Acting was.
I’ve seen many reviews and it looks that this kdrama wasn’t like by many .I actually liked it and enjoyed watching it since is so different to what we are used to watch in kdramas .The actors were top in my opinion and did an amazing job ,also the photography and art ,the decoration everything was thoughtfully design for this series you can see that it was made thinking in even the smallest details 🥰
@ most of the pages I follow for kdramas that are many they haven’t appreciated it they say is boring and that the story was a mess etc etc 🤷🏻♀️ I guess most people are used to the same poor girl rich guy fall in love and happy forever but The trunk in my opinion is more
1-The drama. The Trunk First of all I love it !!!! I watched it 3 times !!! The trunk you need to watch more than once, always finding a new shade, moment, look, etc. Great adaptation of the original book, and point of view. To me this point of view is more universal but not losing its Asian essence. Great adaptation. Great theme-topic broken souls and a marriage contract what a turning point!!! It's not so different to the Tinder world, blind dates on the social media that some people use today or a matchmaker. So those who got upset or did not like this idea-solution aren't seeing where the world is going. The play is not a fairy tale, it's a struggle to get out of the past and loveless relationship, the end is a possibility after being healed to finally get together. Fairy tale no no no. I can see the idea we are all destined to meet at some point in this life with the one-maybe the red thread legend, to get at least the 30 years Han Jeon-won wants getting older, to have a companion as in a Tango. the uncomfortable or awkward scenes to the actors and viewers were so perfectly done that you can think it was so much work behind them, besides to a western mind like mine, it is not so unusual to see on a drama like this such situation, the perfection on Gong Yoo shows his commitment to his character and the show, the perfection from Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun-ji, it is the reflection of their essence as Koreans. To me they were superb in each scene alone, together, they were the heart and soul of this story so well written-adaptation and played. 2-the music, so perfect the song Savior is the summary of their story-healing. the Tango and white noise in the background. Tango is perfect for this topic, the tango is Pasion, Life,Companion. You need two to tango and both move together, they are embraced, you can make “una cortada” but never lose touch of your partner, so tango can be the metaphor of their love. The OST is amazing !!! 3-the chandelier omg it was not a chandelier it was a bug, an ameba, a kraken, a monster that can eat Han Jeon-won, amazing scene when chandelier begins to come to life to swallow him or anyone. great moment. 4-the actors: Gong Yoo as Han Jeon-won (finally I can write without checking the spelling) Seo Hyun-ji as No In-jin. I don't have enough adjectives for them; great, superb, amazing, superlatives. Han Jeon-won by Gong Yoo and In-Ji by Seo Hyun-jin give us in this amazing plot, great performances, the eyes contacts, the dialogues, the distance between them getting closer and closer, how this two deep broken souls can heal each other and be in love and heal to have a real life are superb, No In Ji protecting Han Jeon-won from the chandelier or when she is crying heartbreakingly in the bus stop and he is just looking at her, or when he kissed her when dancing tango or when she said we do it after beer and his look at her, wonderful wonderful play full of great performances and sweet deep passion from these magnifique actors and superb director. It was a pleasure to watch them. 5-the director. Kim Kyu tae A magician choosing lead actors, smart to capture lights, spontaneous reactions. Kim Kyu tae Great director and what a pleasure it is to listen to him talk about Gong Yoo & Seo Hyun -ji acting and personalities. It shows the commitment they all had to make this project unique, a new turning point to Korean dramas. to the next show😉 be happy. Claudia
She was a riddle in the eye of the eagle. She was the pistil in a wild orchid's spiral. She walked with the gait of a gazelle. With the earth's birth, the ground spat daemons. And she sprinkled soot in the eyes of the shaman. She was not destined to be yoked. A black mare, running in the ley. Unconquered, indomitable, unborn. Devouring, thirsting for freedom... But there were days when she sought a shed. And from the wounds she bled black, and sticky was the blood. Eyes flashing with inhuman pain. Cuts slashed, dried up into scabs, was her strength... She had no attachment to Phoenicians' signs. Watery, slippery, and ignorant of the guidelines. Child of the wilds, with ragged bare feet. From ungrounded electricity an elusive beat. A woman, who would speak her own rhymes...❤

It was liked by many. The reviews are divided. You just have to find your circle of appreciators. The Trunk was a great work.
