I mean I m a bmw fan but also love alfas and this ill defo be my next car. But BMW's are great cars also, I m just tired of everyone somehow having one here in romania, plus I want to finaly feel something when I drive a car, and an alfa will give me that. Plu it's gorgeous

I just got myself a 2019 giulia veloce 280hp Problem is not only with the German propaganda or so It's all down to the lack of finishing touches to the car There are things that where literally ignored, for what, how much could it cost to develope a proper Bonet opener 10k? And the biggest one is regarding tech, it's cheat, very well integrated but, cheap And no middle engine, it's either 4 cly or qv, which is ashame, if I cannot afford a quad, but want great sound from my car it's just not possible and the list goes on I'm just bitter that they really wasted such a great chasy
And oh boy if we touch non dealer mentenance is a horrible experience plus not so much after market support I'm looking to find a used veloce front bumper, and I gotta find on random polish websites, it's really clear that alfa has failed business wise
there are 3 elecrtonic limiters : 1 on top speed to 242 km/h ; 2 on ecu rev limiter different for gear (for example in 1 2 3 5650rpm about 6000 on others; 3 on tcu rev limiter 6100 rpm. If all 3 limiters are unlocked the 2.0 engine can reach 6300rpm and over 255km/h. And on stage 1 full unlocked over 6500rpm and over 265km/h
Take it for a test drive. I’ve been to one and there’s nothing to complain in that regard. Been zooming around town up to this speed because I didn’t notice the speed 😆
No noise from the sunroof in my car... Be aware. The roof itself is made by a German company and it's mechanics are a disaster waiting to happen.... Avoid the sunroof if you can..
@@jankosiek maybe it needs some alignment. I don't hear anything from the sunroof nor the mirrors/door windows. I had a similar problem in my Lancia delta at about 170 the roof would be lifted by the airstream and create an extremely annoying noise. Realigning it held it closed to at least 190... I am pretty happy that I don't suffer that fate in the giulia
I have had several Alfa's and would like a Giulia, but I cannot bring myself to spend that sort of cash on something with only 4 cylinders. It is a shame there wasn't a lower powered V6 instead to compete with the BMW 340i.
I bought my Giulia 2.2 speciale to replace my Alfa gt V6, honestly it's like night and day driving both of them as my partner now has the gt. The Giulia is an absolutely amazing car and looks brilliant with a few suttle cosmetic changes.
The four pot, like most four cylinders tend to be soulless when compared to six pot engines and me personally six is the minimum for a characterful engine. I find these new four pot very muted with a non mechanical synthetic engine sound exacerbated by the turbo charger and ppf.

Even a 3 pot Fiesta ST sounds nicer, and whilst do like my 6 cylinder engines I do also like the sound of a decent 5 cylinder like the one which I had in my Fiat Coupe all those years ago. It's also a shame that Alfa didn't offer a manual transmission. Sure the auto is very good, but it cannot compete with a manual for driver involvement.
Same goes for the totally annoying esp setup. The car handles like a dream is totally predictable... Yet esp (Esc) is here to kill all the fun and you can't eve disable it...
Can be fixed. There is a sealing lip. Which is missing on some cars for some reason. It just pops in place below the hood, closes a tiny gap.. Fixes the hood shaking stuff... For less then 100€ if I remember correctly

Unfortunately... Driving straight does not show what that chassis is actually good at. It is bloody fast as fuck... Boring to drive on a country road if you stay below 140....🙈

Poi i tempi si devono fare con lo stesso pilota, stessi pneumatici, stesse condizioni di meteo ecc.... anche altre auto hanno tempi dove sono superiori e avolte inferiori. Certe volte le piste hanno un circuito diverso, quello piu lungo, quello piu corto. Non é sempre cosi semplice.

I have a 2018 Giulia. I absolutely love the car, but it has so many little tiny reliability annoyances that I grew tired of after 3 years. It's not a car that you can just drive and forget about. I'm constantly monitoring the systems and watching for signs that a part is about to go. It has never left me stranded anywhere and I didn't have any high-dollar repairs, but I'm an extremely busy person and don't have the time for the minor hiccups. I hope the integrity of the electronics were overhauled for the 2023 facelift.

Sure your 190HP diesel is faster, downhill. We dont know if the road is going uphill in the video or if the driver isnt accelerating full throttle all the way through. My 280HP Giulia is way faster than this.
There is not limiter on the Giulia and morover BMW 330 has 250 ps vs 280ps of Giulia...sorry but there is not story, Giulia Is better only because of drive sport
Beautiful Chassis, terrible engine. It lacks power, sound and revs. Any BMW 330i or even Golf R will blow this out of the water. There ist just no excuse Here, this ist an expensive Veloce model. It should be a lot quicker and more exciting.
The Giulia is fantastic, and you obviously haven't done this. I have. I've never had a better driving car. And I have had 2 GTI's, 3 Audi's, and Fiat 500 Abarth. The Abarth was a riot.
"Even" a Golf R... Golf R is in a completely different class of speed compared to those two. It does 100-200 in 11.5 sec. A tuned one is almost as fast as a Quadrofoglio. 330i does 16.5 and this is the same
The Giulia veloce we have has 320hp (stage1 by Squadra tuning ) and goes under 5 sec to 100.... So ive thats not fast enough for a model below the q i dont know anymore
@@RVsimracing if i compare the Veloce with the next BMW below an M and that's a 340i - the Giulia doesn't fare well. Comparing her to a 330i she may do a little better but tbh, i don't get the 240 top speed. Also the acceleration looks quite underwhelming. I'm used to a BMW B58 in a M140i and the shown performance here doesn't do the Job.

242 kmh is not much for 280 hp. For 200 ho are ok, for 280 hp no. With 280 hp speed yoi get to 260 kmh
