I went for the first time last year and loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I rode with my favorites being Skyrush, Stormrunner, and Candymonium. I’m trying to go back this summer lol

I always go to candemonium before the main park opens because it get crazy busy, or sometimes I instead do it later in the day because it calms down then too
I think in 5-10 years Hershey will have the best coaster lineup in the country. Cedar Point and SFMM are amazing, but if Wildcat gets RMC'd and they add in another great B&M, it will be a pretty unbeatable lineup.

It’s gonna take Hershey a LONG time to even come close to beating Cedar Point’s lineup. Yeah they have great coasters, but Cedar Point’s lineup isn’t only about the legendary top 4, but all the supporting coasters too. Hershey has the top 4, but it doesn’t really have a very good supporting lineup
@@TheCycloneHunter It has a very good lineup in general, what are you talking about? It has a good Boomerang, a great B&M Invert, a Dueling GCI, a B&M Hyper, a Intamin Eurofighter (Basically what it is), a Schwarzkof Looper!, an Arrow Mine train, an Intamin Accelerator! and a classic PTC woodie

But when you’re up against a giga, an RMC hyper hybrid, a blitz coaster, a better B&M invert, a better dueling coaster, a wing, dive and floorless coaster, a classic PTC, a strata coaster, an Arrow mine train, an Arrow hyper with wild ejector, and an Arrow suspended coaster, it’s kind of hard to compete

@@2hoots1cup Like me, I don't like it much at all, I've been crushed by the restraints and the Gs on the first turn, literally couldn't keep myself upright, it hurt...
Storm Runner is my favorite roller coaster of all time! All the elements intensity and yes the flying snake dive incredible,smooth like it’s brand new

Just watched the documentary and it was sooooo good . I love rmc and this was like heaven getting to see there progression and how they have grown and continue to grow . 10/10 for anyone who remotely loves anything with coasters.

Fun fact: they actually have BETTER gourmet grilled cheese at Milton's Ice Cream parlor at the snack counter! It's absurdly good, and comes with some amazing fries too (Can't recommend the pinweel fries enough!)

Nice. Last year my friend & I went to Hersheypark with the plan to ride Skyrush 32 times, once in every seat. We weren't sure if we could do it. I crunched the numbers to figure out how often we'd have to ride to keep pace to make it happen. With the park closing at 7 p.m. most days, we were worried. We made it work though. Having the Sweet Start helped as we rode more than 1/4 of our needed rides during that hour. Once we were done, we even jumped in the test seat for the heck of it. Ha! Love that ride.
I honestly was thinking about how crazy it would be to do that when I was last there. I’m actually not surprised someone actually did it. Us Skyrush fans aren’t normal lol.
@@steveo7771286 if you ever want to try it, I made an interactive PDF for my phone where we could check off what time we did each one with a time sheet on it to see if we were on schedule.

The vlogs the best thing on your channel
That phenomenon occurs at my home park (SFGAm) on Batman frequently and I once was able to lap it 30x (in about an hour and 45 mins) without leaving the station. Had to change rows a few times, but there was always an empty row/seat. 💪
I like Skyrush more than Millennium Force. More intense. Also I think that a Skyrush vs El Toro video would be interesting.
Trying to marathon Skyrush on a busy weekend is impossible. I'd say the best time to do that is during a weekday when no one is here or on the edge of fall. Let's see if you can beat my record: 41 times (I vlogged all of it!)
Hersheypark is so high up on my bucket list of parks that I almost made this summer's road trip a PA trip centered around it. But ultimately I decided on a 5-park Cedar Fair road trip so that I could get back to Cedar Point for the first time since 2005, and celebrate the 30th anniversary of my first summer working there.

The cinematography of the ride shots is just crazy. So surprised nobody in this video complained about skyrush's restraints. They're so horrendous and painful that this ride was zero fun for me when I visited Hershey park in 2014. It was just full pain no fun
The last time that I was at Hershey was before Skyrush was built. Everyone says that it is such an intense coaster and I believe them. However, the off ride videos and POV‘s make it look like it is not very intense. Lol I can’t wait to ride it!
I've had many rides on Skyrush and yeah everyone is absolutely correct, it is so intense. The POV and off ride videos are definitely not a good representation of how intense it is. I remember when they first opened it and I saw the video online and I was so disappointed because it looked boring, but it easily one of my top coasters.
Ngl me and Sarah are the EXACT same at those shooting games! I lose every time except for that one time when you get the bonus

I’m on the opposite part of the spectrum. I’m a Skyrush hater. Respect it’s amazing layout, and intensity. Ruined entirely by the restraints. They kill my legs! Right after the drop, that positive force, staples me, ruining the rest. By the end brake run, my legs are throbbing trying to get blood. I’ll compare the thigh crushing to T3. Yes that bad. If they put Velocicoaster or Pantheon restraints on this, a top 10 for sure. The same thing happens to my group of 4, all have destroyed legs from Skyrush.
That's my experience, with good lap bars this is an insanely good ride, with the current ones its fringe top 50
skyrush is my #2. the awful restraints add to the experience imo. makes the scary airtime even more intense, and who doesn't love physical evidence of a coaster ride (like a bruise)? then again my #1 is i305 so you can sorta see what kind of enthusiast i am from that lol. always interesting to hear another's experience though!

@@Feuerfr3i does t3 have world class airtime, open seats combined with transitions that ragdoll you around, and a smooth ride experience? it's about how it all comes together, the restraints in a vacuum aren't necessarily a plus but they add massively to the skyrush experience.

I got a pass and go every weekend including the day you filmed this. Every trip so far i had multiple walk ons for Skyrush and Candymonium and great bear and it seems every single ride on Skyrush makes me like it more and more. Great bear and Fahrenheit and comet are fun in steady rain and they run them even if its pouring
I want to clarify something about The Riddler Mindbender, the new trains were built by Valente SAS and designed by B&M.

Dominator at KD has that same “problem” with the station getting congested. Also, I’ve gotten to stay on TT even if there’s a 45 minute wait, since the lockers can seriously clog up the line

The coaster with the best first drop that I have ridden is Iron Gwazi, but I’ll be riding Skyrush this summer for the first time so I’ll see how they compare.

storm runner is my fav in the park tbh, i actually forgot that my phone was in an unsecured pocket and it actually survived the ride. i give it extra points for that lmao

They were in the upper 60s when I went that Friday. Sunday was the cold day. I was at Great Adventure then.

So funny story, I went to Hershey when skyrush opened, I was 12 I was gonna go on it but one the test dummy flew off the day before so I was too scared to go on it, 10 years later I am going back to Hershey, with this video I am so excited to go on skyrush.

I went to Hershey Park for the first time a couple of days ago. I was looking forward to riding all the rollercoasters, especially Skyrush. Sadly, I was very disappointed with Skyrush and it was only because of the restraints. I rode it once and I didn't want to ride it again. The restraints ruined my experience on the ride. It killed my legs and I could still feel the pain for the rest of the day. In my opinion, the best rollercoaster in park is Storm Runner!
Their top 5 coasters rival any top 5 in the world. Outside of CP if TTD reopens.
I rode for nearly 90 minutes, straight one morning during 1 train operation. I only missed 1 train while I ran downstairs to pee. I figured at least 18 rides in the morning and 5 more to close out Skyrush's season... My legs were very angry with me. Velocicoaster restraints COULD possibly bump this back to #1 steel for me.

Yea I went to Hershey park with a friend the other day . He got 36 rides on skyrush. His record is 40 something. I sadly meet him up later then made him ride other coasters too

Slide as far forward as possible when loading and pull up on the sides of the restraints during most of the ride. Especially if you plan on marathoning it. If you insist on riding hands up, you won't last long. Lol

Now you can see why Skyrush is my #1 hyper, followed by Mako and Titan. Skyrush is unlike any other hyper in the US.
It's not a Hyper tho, also Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland is better than Titan
@@coastaku1954 Skyrush is 200ft tall, it's a hyper. Behemoth is good and has the best airtime, but Titan has that raw speed and intensity.

@@coastaku1954 That's why you have to ride it yourself. Titan and Goliath are both glossy smooth and higher/faster than your usual B&M hyper. The helixes are taken very fast and cause you to gray-out. They don't have much airtime and the mid-course brakes bring the train to a halt, so if either of those bother you, you may not like it.
@@coastaku1954 Skyrush is 200ft tall with a 212ft drop. Titan and Goliath both have a 255ft drop with a top speed of 85mph. They were the fastest coasters until the gigas arrived.

I feel like you have to build a tolerance for this ride. I rode it once, and it felt like rocks in a blender.
You do. My first time on it I was wondering wth I got myself into.
I don't know if you guys got to ride Skyrush on its opening year because as great as Skyrush is, it's first year it was even more insane. The train didn't slow down at the top of the lift and you got some serious airtime off the top of the lift.
That had to be one hell of an experience
I'm sorry but I actually think that Skyrush is too intense. In the back, you go so fast into that first turn that it forces my torso to the side, as the Vertical Gs then crush me from there, and then we have the crappy restraints. I've been ThighCrushed before and it seriously seriously hurt. I'm gonna give it another shot this year if I can but it's not in my top 15 at all
I'd assume you don't get the tight restraint pain if you ride it 5 times without leaving your seat.
