I painted mine around 10 years ago all with little brush, I didn’t have my airbrush then lol. I also didn’t use the spines because I wanted a more generic gremlin. P.s does yours have the warner bros on the bottom of the feet and the year
Yeah I think an airbrush for this big guy is a must! I honesty can't remember anything on the feet and he's glued and screwed to the base now so no way to check.

What is the sculpting putty? Iv e used JB weld wood putty on vinyl dolls which works well
I used regular standard Milliput on this build but you may also be interested in looking up Aves Apoxie clay, its more expensive but dries way harder.
