I’ve worked with so many managers who couldn’t answer basic questions about their venue. Who couldn’t schedule people, didn’t even know the event schedule for events they were supposed to work. They couldn’t find any of the documents were supposed to have, including the ones I mailed, emailed AND faxed to them. But they could remember that my predecessor had insulted them thirty years ago, including the exact date and time. Rightly so, in my opinion.
To be fair, a law that isn't enforced is a suggestion. How many managers have gone to jail/been sued for calling an employee they had no business calling? Zero? What a shock. We'll see changed behavior when we see changed consequences.
Managerial selection normally prizes "moral flexibility" above all else... "Company man/woman preferred" Not skills, not knowledge, not Even Experience,... surpasses "moral flexibility"/compliant component...
