If we applied the greater than/equal to 80 cutoff, 3 senators that caucus with dems are gone, and 3 republican senators are gone. In the next 3 years, 6 more democratic senators are gone, and the only republican is Romney (who is leaving anyways).

Yes time zones are hard…even doing our four hrs is hard to adjust. Some places your a day ahead and your day was your night……travel, then meetings , policys speeches…..none of you could keep that schedule…..

Democrat voters voted in presidential primaries for the last 6 months in all states and wanted Joe by an incredible majority, like 90+% in some states. Joe has the MAJORITY by 3000+ to be the Dem candidate of the delegates. Thus, if they want to replace Biden, there are 2 options: 1. Joe voluntarily declines the nomination or 2. ALL the delegates switch candidates at the DNC convention. Point is, Dem voters DID choose Biden as the Dem candidate.

I fully disclose that I am officially an Independent (both parties suck at 3 million robo-calls) but lean libertarian. But I like to see what each side of the biopoly has to say. And after this debate I can only say that it is catastrphic on so many levels:
1) Democrats: Y'all argued for this venue and format (CNN with perceived Biden-sympathetic moderators, mic cut-off, no in-house audience, even positioning on stage). It was home-field advantage! And yet Biden - with a week's worth of prep at Camp David - looked less aware than the deer mount on my brother's wall.
2) Republicans: Trump had a good night, but the fact that he appeared to be "there" and could walk off the stage without perceived assistance took away from some of the real messages he delivered. But cutting the mics probably was an assist for him, keeping him from looking so meglomaniacal.
3) Press (and Op/Ed sites, like this): To quote Desi, "You have some 'splaining to do...." The main media has lost credibility. The walk-backs about Trump, COVID strictures (lab theory?), Hunter's laptop - which was introduced by the DOJ for their gun prosecution - errrrm, that's not shinong so well now, is it? How about Biden's cognitive fitness?
Like I mentioned at the beginning, I am an independent. I warned my very pro-Trump family in the 2016 eections that Trump came across as duplicitous. I told them that I would vote for him when he acted on his promises. In my 35+ years of voting (local, state, federal - always), I don't think I have seen a candidate deliver as many promises as he had, under constant (now mostly acknowledged) political assault. And still he got it done (under a pandemic no less) without much acknowledgement from anyone outside of his tightening circle.
This independent will be voting for Trump - regardless of who shows up on the Democratic ticket. They have lost all credibility.

As an independent myself I noticed Trump is good at 2 things one lying and the other taking no accountability for his actions. his own attorneys testimony got him convicted his own VP refuses to endorse him. If the republicans could have put up a viable candidate maybe but Trump running for POTUS as a convicted felon is a joke. and no amount of speech impediment on Bidens side will change that.
