- In This Video you will learn how to create shiny 3D gold letter effect like in Adobe Photoshop using Canva Pro or Free.
note: If you use Canva free, the background romoving proses must be done in other app like remove.bg
This is the answer of a question in Canva Designs Community (Official) group. The question is asking for 3 style of 3D gold effect. In this tutorial I will explain one of them.
In my opinion, The main different about Photoshop and Canva is: when you use Photoshop, you will use tool and adjusment to create this gold effect, but in Canva, you will use element to make it and only need a little adjustment.
I hope this tutorial can satisfy some of the curiosity of the asker

I got this to work in following your instructions exactly, but when I typed out the phrase that I wanted to use on my logo, it didn't change it to black when I removed the background. Weird. Thanks anyway.
Hi thanks for watching. I believe what you meant is not "it didn't change it to black" but the white color was not removed. It usualy happen when the yellow surface is too large. You can reduce the yellow shape. The logic is: BG remover will remove the majority color. The more the white color exist, the most possible it will be removed. I am very new to Canva. The first few steps worked fine, but when you said go back to the first G letter (@2:52) and choose the “outline” effect, you actually chose the “hollow” effect. I chose “outline” as you said but it didn’t work. I couldn’t really tell what you were doing until I slowed the video down and noticed the discrepancy. It would be helpful if you could do another short clip clarifying that portion.

All this work for just one letter ?? Can I do the same process with a full sentence ??? Or image??
yes you can do to full sentence. you can also applied to image. if you do for image, the image will just become flat gold outline. I mean, like if you want to applied to an image of a man, you will lose the real texture.
