Ignoring all of the obvious things to dislike this movie for, the absolute worst thing about this film to me is the fact that the whole "cancer kid meets Spider-Man" subplot (which is one of my favourite Spider-Man stories) takes up a third of the movie and still manages to both completely misunderstand the characterization of Peter/Spider-Man and in general does infinitely worse at adapting that story than Spider-Man the animated series which was able to do it with a total of around 20 minutes of screen time spanning two episodes back in the 90s.
Idk how gavin made this movie outta spite and his ultimate vision for spiderman was peter being annoyed and depressed about gwen for 2 hours while also telling a kid not to believe in him and that there are other heroes to look up to
The kid who collected Spider-Man: a wholesome story about Spider-Man visiting a kid and telling him stories of his adventures, showing him how his webshooters work, Peter learning the beauty of being Spider-Man, revealing his identity to the kid as a special gift and at the end, it was revealed the kid is sick and he was in a hospital all along. Gavin: "Yeah, I'm gonna make Spider-Man trauma dump the sh*t outta that kid for no good reason at all"

The idea that there’s all these toys, cartoons, bedsheets, posters, books, and movies in universe that the kid collects just feels too commercial imo. I much prefer the original story where he collected every newspaper story, or went to a bank that Spidey stopped a robbery at to dig out a bullet that was lodged in the wall, or him managing to find a rare recording of one of spidey’s tv broadcasts before he became a hero. Those more personal and intimate items in the collection I think mean a lot more for the overall story than just shit you can buy at target.
I have a lot of respect for the VFX team of 6. Yes, it may not be extremely realistic, but they did all the shots for the entire movie, which is usually done by multiple studios. It's a shame that the creator and some of the actors are probably racist, ohh and the Goblin actor is apparently a groomer, so that is that. They even got support from Andrew Garfield and Jon Watts, Marvel's Spider-Man director.

Crazy that this movie took moments from some of my favorite Spider-man Comics like the recording the message for a dead Gwen like in Spider-man Blue, but they do it so horrifically bad to the point where it makes the viewer want to die.
I liked the start of it. And in my opinion, it just went a bit downhill and got a bit boring with constant flashbacks. I think the Suit looks cool, and the final Swing around the city does look cool. Just a tad bit underwhelming.

That's because the lighting is bad. There's nothing in there to fill in the light which makes everything look shrouded in darkness making these shots look so shoddy.
Peter got the pass in the comics. Pretty sure Miles told him it was alright to say it. Even Spider-Man isn’t safe from cancel culture. What has this world come to😢

From what I’ve heard, a lotus is a pretty flower that grows in the middle of swamps, so I think in this case the lotus is supposed to be symbolic of Spider-Man surrounded by all of his problems (the swamp), that’s just what I read elsewhere
You should’ve jumped into their frame and ruin the entire shot. Or start playing loud music from a popular artist forcing them to pay expensive royalties
I don't mind Connor doing things like watching the racist Spider-Man movie and playing the anti-Semitic Harry Potter game, but I wish he would make some statement about donating a little money to respective charities every time he did so. it doesn't have to be all the money from the stream, but just enough to prevent bigots from making themselves at home in his community. (not that there's a problem, it's just that I'm worried that one day there might be.)
This movie was pretty good for a fan-made film and definitely had a lot of talent behind it, though connor was mostly negative throughout the movie. I understand that's prolly because it apparently had a few racists in it's cast and goblin turned out to be a groomer, but I don't think that takes away anything from the film as it has no discernible racist themes. Edit: i didn't mention this but i haven't actually seen the original movie, I have only seen connor's video, for all I know it might have the most terrible writing I have ever seen during some parts of the movie, but i think if there really was anything connor would have definitely had it in the video for the laughs.

The swinging scenes look really good. For a fan film, it's fine. Some shots, the lighting looks unnecessarily dark tho.
