Love the story. The RF 35mm is the best mid priced lens out there. I shot a 50th birthday party with my 28-70mm. Amazing the 35mm was sharper the my 28-70 set at f2. Keep the inspiration going 👍🏽
It’s so interesting, because I have the 35mm lens, and man I honestly have the hardest time trying to like it. I shoot a lot of clubs and nightlife, and it just isn’t wide enough in the crowd. Love the story and all the rhymes!
great video! I did notice some of the peeps in the early part were out of focus with the 50mm being at 2.0. Do you typically use a smaller aperture for groups?
Great pictures - your story telling made my day. The RF 50mm 1.2 is my go-to lens indoors, too, when space allows - else, 35mm (still using the EF 2.0 IS USM, though, waiting for Canon to finally bring an 35RF L). What kind of flash did you use (if any at all)?
How do you mange WB in each situation do you take grey Card CWB in each situation? Or AWB raw then adjust while editing? I always have a habit in using photoshop hardly use lightroom . Is lightroom much better than lightroom?
For this shoot, I think I was using auto white balance, but I did end up fixing it in post. When I have time, I use the Color Checker to set a custom white balance, but I still tweak my white balance in post.
The 15-35 is zoom lens. It allows for super wide angle shots. Its wides aperture is 2.8. The 35 is a prime lens, which means it doesn’t zoom. Its widest aperture is 1.8 which is very helpful in low light situations.
@@photographybydaniellee i meant image wise it will be different . I know aperture will give extra stops of light but visually 15-35 35 will show a wider look or it will show same impact then a prime 35
I’m sorry I have to say this, you have a habit of cutting people’s head off in the photos😬 in a lot of the photos people are missing their hair or the top of their head just clipping the edge. Not a good look. I hope it’s only showing like this because you have to crop in for TH-cam or the likes and not because you’ve shot it this way.
Outstanding!
Thank you for commenting!
Wow, loved the storytelling and the images you captured. Well done sir.

It really is a great lens. When it gets a chance on my camera, it rarely comes off. It definitely rivals my L lenses on quality.
I love the storytelling, so warm and bright 💖
Thank you so much!!!
Haha, I had a similar experience but with the EF24 1.4L. Adapted to my R7 and flash and the rest stayed in the back. It was awesome for the night
There is something to that 35mm focal length. It is determined to be used.
This was Amazing! Thanks for making this video.
Great story telling and the pictures to match!
You are very welcome. Thank you for the kind words!

Thanks for kind words. You may need the 15-35mm 2.8 for what you do.
@@photographybydaniellee It's on my list! I get by with what I can with the 16mm and 35mm primes, and the 24-70.
I love my 50mm too, but I usually bring my 24-70 just in case.
I used to bring the 24-70 to every shoot until I got the 15-35. Now I feel covered in just about any situation. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for you comment and the kind words. I used a Godox V1 on camera flash for most of the shots. After the sun went down it was pretty dark.
Awesome photos and a great story, what was your lighting setup (was it on or off camera lighting)!
I was using a Godox V1 on camera flash for lighting. Thanks for the kind words.

I am still learning are these done with a off camera flash ?
These were taken with Godox V1 on camera flash with the light dome.
Hello i wanted to know what is the difference between a RF 15 35 35 and RF 35
The 15-35 is zoom lens. It allows for super wide angle shots. Its wides aperture is 2.8. The 35 is a prime lens, which means it doesn’t zoom. Its widest aperture is 1.8 which is very helpful in low light situations.

Yes, if you see an image that fits the whole screen, it has been cropped to fit the 16x9 ratio instead of the 3x2 ratio it was shot in.
