Howdy! Fellow chaser here. These videos are awesome. I’ve been chasing for a long long time, and I have to say that I’m learning by watching your videos. Keep up the great work! Also, I chased on 5-20 in OK, and I don’t think I’ll be doing that again. 😉 Truth be told, I’d never been so nervous going into a chase as I was that day. I’m happy that the hype didn’t verify. Anyway, thanks for the good videos, and I hope to see you on the plains one day!
your videos are so cool, i find them so interesting and very well made. We had a tornado here in britain a few days ago, it wasn't huge but someone filmed the clouds rotating. in 2016 when we were in Crete there was a huge one, which trashed everything, plants, trees, outdoor furniture, cars and even picked up a life boat from Hersonissos, slammed it back down outside the harbour into the sea. also we drove up into the mountains just after it happened to get a better view. up there we watched the red muddy water running down which looked like the land was bleeding into the sea
4,000 miles in a week! That’s some dedication. I appreciate the effort you and the Prius put into chasing. Thank you for sharing, stay safe out there and I hope you are able to get more of the very cool drone footage in 2020.
This is a good channel because it's about tornados and rain and having a drone up to the tornados but before was about the sun I think Well this channel good and it's amazing when I have my cup a tea and watching tornados
Since i cant see these bad boys here in germany, im glad i finally found a guy who makes high quality videos about stormchasing , pumped for the next one ☺️
These videos are great... I like your commentary. Keep up the great work. The Jefferson City tornado (mentioned at 15:53) missed my home by just a few miles. I went into town the next day to check on family and it looked like a war zone in some spots with debris all over the road. I remember that day clearly - earlier in the afternoon all of the severe activity was going north of us, but around 11:30 p.m. things started getting interesting when I went to check the radar for hail and saw that the surrounding county (where Eldon is) was under a tornado warning. There was at least one tornado warning in the region at any given moment throughout that afternoon... sometimes three or four at once. I flipped on the TV and a couple of minutes later they came on with the coverage. I practically watched the tornado travel from Eldon to Jefferson City on TV and radar. I've never received a "Tornado EMERGENCY" alert on my phone before. I didn't go to bed until 4-5 a.m. that morning, mostly worried because my dad wasn't answering his phone (he was tired of me calling to tell him to get into the basement) and he was with his dad, which was near the path of the tornado. (Their landline also wasn't working, because by this point the tornado hit.) Around the time the tornado hit, I went outside and spoke with a neighbor. She just got off the phone with her brother, who said that his business was completely destroyed. That's when I got an inkling that it wasn't a small one that was just going to uproot a tree or two, although the tornado emergency alert also told me that it was something serious. As mentioned, the damage was unreal. Probably around 1 or 2 a.m. they came on showing the damage, and it wasn't that convincing until they showed a car dealership with cars flipped upside down - one on top of another. The next day I checked on my dad and grandfather (they were fine - didn't receive any damage, although it knocked their power out for about 10 hours or so) and I had to take a round-about path to get to my grandfather's house because many of the streets in the downtown area were closed. There was tons of debris and I could see some damaged building. However, I didn't realize how much damage it caused until I traveled to another part of town that was probably the most damaged. Most of the buildings and homes were stripped of their roofs. One had caved in. It was a scary sight to see. I've always been fascinated by tornadoes. It might sound stupid for me to say this - but it's so strange how they can literally destroy your life... it was so sad to see people have everything destroyed and their lives turned upside down. We really lucked out in the JC tornado - as only like 40 people were treated for injuries and 1 died a few days later. The warnings and coverage really helped. After the tornado hit, the community really came together.
Great video man, that lightning on May 22nd was insane, got some of my favourite lightning shots of the year that night. Stayed up wayyyy later than I expected to haha
I live in Amarillo Texas and when u said that I thought you were from there but maybe not You are the best storm chaser I've ever watched AlwaysKeepChasing AKC or NeverStopChasing NSC AlwaysKeepChasingMorePi AKCMP
I love weather and Pecks Hank (Stormchaser that has a channel) and Pi, your the second best on my list. I want to be a meteorologist (now make that US Coast Guard) or a tornado chaser.
Love your passion man. Keep it up even after all this craziness. Hope to see more videos this summer. You’ve got my support here, and a new subscriber!!!
You make awesome videos mate - very well edited and narrated, you have a perfect voice for it as well. It could just as well have been a show on Discovery :)
You can tell from that tail cloud way in front of the other tornado that there was likely another area of rotation happening closer to you. Always a good idea to be mindful of that, especially if its getting closer.
I love to see those videos. Back here in the Netherlands, catching a storm like this, is as rare as getting hit by lightning. Would love to see it with my own eyes. Tnx for the amazing vids about em! 👍🏼
yeah okay I'm totally on board for this - randomly got you as a suggestion from a Skip Talbot video, you may not have his scientific background but you're just as likable and the Drone makes for one heck of a unique spin (no pun intended) on it. Looking forward to the rest of your 2019, and whatever you turn up in 2020!
okay I don't comment on videos like at all but these tornadoes you chase are beautiful you almost even get killed! and keep going... you deserve way more views
Bro, this week was soooo crazy! I don’t even understand how weather can get to this point. Your discoveries are also really cool, keep up the good work!😎👍
Nice video! I'm actually from Pryor Creek, and I think I'll always remember this week (also I laughed at your joke so don't worry). I practically lived in my storm cellar this week, and school was also canceled because of severe weather and flooding so I didn't have to take any of my finals, lol.
Just discovered your channel today and am absolutely loving your Storm chasing videos. Saying that though, for the love of all things, please please please trade your Prius in for something with 4x4 and higher ground clearance! The countless benefits of something more suitable are astronomical! Other than that, keep up the great work.
Hey boi. I think u should stay by the Dakotas. We’ve Been haveing some crazy whether here. Especially in spearfish canyon SD. With almost every sever thunderstorm we’ve gotten there was a touch down there. It’s been crazy
Just about a week ago I had a HUGE storm in Calgary and it was none stop but, luckily there was not a tornado. But every lightning strike was every 3 secs 😬and it was about 5 horses long.
Thats so frustrating. I was chasing that same storm that went through Pryor and Salina. Only I was down in Chouteau. We were so rain wrapped we couldn't see anything and the roads were so flooded with cars and water we couldn't get ahead of the storm.
Buddy, you really need to invest in a more appropriate vehicle for that area so you can get off-road more. Just get a nice used Tacoma 4x4 with a topper. Deck out the back for sleeping and your golden and much less likely to get stuck on those dirt\clay side roads.
“A whole week of storm chasing would test my perseverance, my patience, and my Prius.” That had me dying!!!!
The battery in that thing doesn't get wet going through the water? I know flood damage priues get totaled fast
