Following the tutorial step by step and really appreciate the guidance! One question is how to get that fancy profile.png? I was thinking it's some css style initially, yet it turned out to be the pic itself? Another is could you spare some time on how you come up with the idea of such a layout or thoughts like that? Really appreciate you code line by line with that patience, but I still do not know why should I do in that way as a beginner. Big thanks again!
Great questions! For all pictures and stuff I manually edit them on a site called pixlr.com/e :P As for the layouts, a lot of practice and experimentation, and also taking inspiration from other sites and apply them in a new unique way. Don't worry about understanding every line, it'll come with time!
11:00 minutes in the particle effect doesn't work using the script tag from cdnjs but the one on his github repo works. The difference is in the version and hence the sha512 but another difference is the missing dot in particle.js
Another question is the final deploy step, can follow another tutorial abt that to implement right? Cauz the product after the tutorial is only a local version right?
Good question! This video explains how to deploy it (the key difference is that you'll want to deploy from a github repo!) th-cam.com/video/NBrQp6-721c/w-d-xo.html
You forgot to add to CSS file ,blueShadow was declared but no styles written And is it only to me ,but I cant seem to make Get in touch button in main section to work ,cant even press it ,like overlay is hiding it ,not sure what can be the problem
@@Smoljames i don't want to sound disrespecful, just tought i will let you know that I didn't noticed in the video you writing styles for blueShadow class that you gave to the contact buttons 😀
how do you come up with the design for your portfolio? My biggest struggle is designing something that looks clean but isn't boring. My designs always turn out ugly😬😂
Good question (going to make a video on exactly this). It's a 3 part process really; 1) learn lol 2) observe - i actively observe every website i visit to see what features and designs I like 3) apply - if I've found some designs I like recently, I make sure to include them in any new projects I'm doing so I end up with an arsenal of cool looking stuff! Maybe add in my own flare!
We're all newbs at some point! SvelteKit is a javascript web framework so it basically just makes it easier to develop interactive websites. TailwindCSS is a CSS library for making the website look a certain way!
For deployment check this out! th-cam.com/video/NBrQp6-721c/w-d-xo.html
Wow James, what an absolute minimal and precise portfolio. I would love to steal few things from yours for my portfolio. I hope that's all right
Glad you liked it! And go hard :) Take whatever you like from it!
Sweet portfolio. I don't come across full projects in Svelte often, and I should say it was pleasant to watch.
Glad to hear you think so!

The CSS import is indeed included in the video :) If you ask nicely I can tell you where

Hey James banger vid. Would you be okay with it if I just completely ripped off your communication part? It’s so well written!
By all means my friend go hard haha!
So sorry, I’m a new new newb. I love your content.
Can you please explain what svelteKit and tailwind css are/do.

Great tutorial, thanks!
Cheers for the comment :)
Hey, I must've missed something, but I thought you were going to go through how to deploy this app too? Great tutorial nonetheless :)
Haha stay tuned for part 2 (I may or may not have forgotten to deploy it :o)
