My PB northern Ontario smallie was on a brown wooly bugger at the bottom of a water fall, took 10 minutes to land it on my 5 wt fly rod and came in around 6 1/2 pounds.

I used to go fly fishing with a spinning rod🎣Id tie some line with a fly on the end onto a topwater lure so I could cast it far and maybe catch a pike too

You should fish a Maine golf course! When I was growing up I lived next to a huge golf course and it spoiled me. It was so bad that you would get mad if you didn’t catch a fish every cast.

@@samdaku6869 I don’t want to “dox his honey hole” but he was fishing in southern Piscataquis. Couple spots along Big Wilson Stream and the Piscataquis River.
@@IceFishingMaine I don’t want to to Dox his honey hole either , but let’s be real, everyone in this sparsely populated area of Maine who knows these locations has already fished them. Looked like he was in Willimantic, but it’s tough to tell, looks like 1,000 places I’ve been in the great Penobscot/Piscataquis region.
