For the Quadrivas therapy, this type of massage technique is very common in Asia. If you can find people from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc. All practice a similar technique. In addition, Reflexology also helps alot. I am almost 60 and my Lipedema is there still but it is considered Stage 1 and doesn't give me much problems. Living all over Asia with massages being so cheap, has really helped to manage my Lipedema.

Thank you for the info. Question; can I prevent my legs from becoming larger with exercise and diet? I'm currently in stage 3 lymphedema and would like to stop progressing to higher stages until a cure or more aggressive treatment is developed.

    Dear Aylah Clark,
Thankyou for goung to the trouble of presenting your pack of information.
I could tell you were either a bit inexperienced in delivering a presentation OR you were a bit nervous. Good on you for being brave and pushing through!
Your slides were beautiful to look at and the messages very clear. There was quite a bit if new information for me in here, which i can use.
For me, it was the perfect mix between scientific and plain english.
Selenium is non-existent in WA soil, i will look into that.
Non-lifestyle obesity and bariatric surgery - gosh this really hit home as my current planned treatment is to have bariatric surgery then WAL refuction surgery. However, my eating plan looks fine and has for a long long time so i have been conflicted with mutilating my poor tummy and what you say makes sense to me.
Keep up the fantastic work that you are doing, i can see you will have a profound impact on this condition (at least) which will help so many of us over your career!
    All the best,
    Vicki ❤

In response to my GP's suggestion I lose weight, I brought some literature about lipedema to inform her of my condition...she refused to even look at it.
When I first realized I have lipedema I sobbed and cried for days. When I found out there is no cure and the only successful treatment is very expensive liposuction (I don't have 20+ thousand dollars at my immediate disposal, and I am unable to work, nor does my GP consider me a candidate for disability), I became very discouraged. This is a very expensive condition, w/most treatments not covered by insurance or treatments unavailable in my city. Unlike lymphedema, which is vastly recognized w/medical support because of its link to cancer - my condition is a voice crying to be heard in a mass of deafness.
I try to accept my condition, but at times the public shame makes it very difficult.
With the diet industry worth billions of dollars; the medical community refusing to acknowledge the condition (except to confuse it with obesity and offer bariactric surgery); insurance companies and the government unwilling to cover expensive treatments; and the media still blaming the victim - I hold little hope in my lifetime of ever seeing the empathy, support, tolerance, and advocacy for my condition, which others with recognized medical conditions have been given.
The best "treatment" I have found is prayer. And my hope in a better life after this life is over. To these two I cling.

I am so sorry to hear this, can you try a different gp? I cried too when I found out. I'm 25 and the thought of having this condition for the rest of my life is frightening. I live in the UK, the first dr I spoke to was very unhelpful and dismissive, but when I made another appointment with a second dr, they were actually interested and went away and researched.

@@elenapaints972 thank you for your kind reply. Unfortunately, doctors are in vastly short supply in my country (many people are w/out a primary physician) and leaving one's present physician, to seek another, is met with discouragement, and the unlikelyhood of obtaining another. But the Lord is with me, and the hope He gives sustains me in this difficult time.

Baby Bunny I had Lipedema since puberty and I am 55 now, I was able to reverse its condition by Carnivore diet combine with intimate fasting and extend water fasting (3-6 days). I did these for my diabetics and lose weight lose but surprisingly reversed my Lipedema condition. So please don’t lose hopes. You can search on how to do carnivore diet and fasting online. Nothing to lose to just try for 1 month to see how it goes.

I know several women who underwent interferon/infergen therapy and cleared their lipedema. Also two cases of lipolymphedema ladies who tested positive for lymphatic filariasis; DEC and ivermectin were helpful in their situation.
Why are interferons helpful? Suggestion: can lipedema, adiposis dolorosa, Dercum’s desease be the same? Interferon treatment is used successfully to manage Dercum’s. Why are most lipedema sources quiet about these facts?

Are you able to provide additional info regarding it. Also, think you are right about Dercum’s disease being the same thing. I even had Thyroid (Graves Disease -87% hypothyroid) to which I had RAI. Hahaha, you clearly have no idea the medical criteria required for naturopathic doctors. Yes, the “D” stands for doctor. They learn as much as MDs PLUS they have to learn eastern-type medicine. “Modern medicine” has been around for about 100 years. All other medicinal practices have been around for thousands. Most “modern” meds are based on previous knowledge gained from eastern-type medicine. I’d prefer thousands of years of understanding versus a medical doctor who hasn’t even studied nutrition.
