I really like the Northern lite truck campers. I do have suggestions for future consideration. Change the guidance lights as they are outdated. Make fresh water fill cap lockable. Eliminate the front pass trough and lower door windows. Camera renders those obsolete and no need additional heat loss weak points. Add side rain gutters. Mostly everything else looks good. Nice job on build quality!
This camper is beautiful. The opportunity for a 4 season camper with such incredible quality is changing our mind. This is now on the top of our purchase list. Thank you for the complete walkthrough
I am curios on how the solar panels are attached to the camper. Also an optional outside plug in jack for remote solar panels would make a nice option. :)
Will you ever consider doing a rear dinette center bath edition? The only thing I personally see that is missing, is the cabover shirt closets at the head, I miss that. But besides that it's very beautiful camper, but would prefer a rear dinette and center bath, for separation of space. Just a personal choice.
Thank you for this walk through... could you please include a break down of the dinette into a bed... including “laying down” in it so that a good visual can be done? I haven’t yet seen anyone do that on these campers
Great educational review of construction & featured. Trying to pay attention as to tie down points between camper & t rich. Assume they are near jacks. Again thank you for review. 5 star rating, excellent, wow!
I'm in the market for a new truck camper and I've been watching the videos of most brands and it looked good on the videos until you go see it in person. Yesterday I've been to this dealer in Georgia and walked thru all the truck campers and guess what all the truck campers failed in my book. The fit finish the quality of the materials that they've used were not up to par. Unfortunately, they did not stock Northern Lite. I will have to travel to NC in January. Please don't let me down, Northern Lite. Very good video thank you.
@@TFader61 Northstar 850sc was a disappointment. Fit finish and a durability is just not there. Come January I will drive down to NC to see the Northern Lite.
Hi Pedro... we absolutely agree with you. Hopefully you have a chance to get in a Northern Lite at D&H soon. You will notice the difference as soon as you step in and close the door.
He claimed the hot water heater selection switches for propane or electric could also affect the refrigerator. This is incorrect because the refrigerator has its on selection switches.
Thanks for the walk-through. I hope someone got you some cinnamon buns afterward! Right now, I'm looking at purchasing my truck to fit a 10-2 Dry Bath and have a question about the electrical connection between the truck and camper and charging the batteries. Would it be beneficial to order beefed up or dual alternators on my truck to speed up charging of the camper batteries? Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer.
I would like to see Northern lite have a floor plan with the kitchen like that in a 9.4 Bigfoot, a c or I shaped dinette opposite of it with a lagoon table, even if the rear seat is smaller. Dry bath between dinette and bed and wardrobe between kitchen and bed. Truma heat and hot water, 12 volt a.c.. Max solar capacity. Laveo dry toilet to delete black tank and stinky slinky and possibly increase fresh and gray capacity.
This was very informative. I'm not sure if anyone is monitoring this page anymore. Question about the mirrored fridge doors, can those be eliminated? That seems like they would need to be cleaned constantly and could break if you run into it with a box of groceries, or whatever. Thanks for getting back to me.
Well thought out .. but sdo expensive.. I need one mostly for winter only .. Wonder if you could save some money by eleimianted the awning and out side speakers ect..?
@@NorthernLiteTruckCampers I will search for it now...i prefer and would $$$ for comfy theater seating. And drawer 12 v fridge. One for freezer and one for fridge...think modern and updated. It's like time travel back to 2009.
Is there a video with the dry bath version of this unit? Curious to see if you'd lose the little pantry and if the U-shaped dinette is still possible. TY!
Northern Light use to make a camper, where in the bathroom, the toilet was there, and you had a step in shower with curtain seperated from the toilet, what is that model. thanks.
Nice camper. The only thing I don't like is the use of plywood. I would think that over time it will eventually rot out when you get cracks in caulking around window, vents and doors etc. I would only ever use plywood if it was pressure treated for below grade contact with earth like the plywood used in wood foundations. I am not sure what else could be done to replace the wood and it would likely make the cost of the unit so high no one would buy it. RV's and wood never mix for longevity.
Lots of reasons. We have a 60X80 cab over bed. BF has a 60X74". We have a 6yr warranty. They have a 3 yr warranty. We have a 3 way fridge. they have a 2 way. Our campers are 8'2" wide. BF are 7'11" Our jack brackets support underneath. BF only supports underneath on the front. We come standard with 200W solar... BF comes with zero. Hope that helps!
LOL! The 2023 model is over $65,000. That is about the price I paid for my 2 bedroom, 2 bath home and the 3 acres it sits on. Times have changed . Looks like a nice camper if you can afford it and the $75,000 truck to put it on. I just found a bumper pull trailer RV with twice the room for $18,000. I guess I could buy 3 of those, store 2 and replace them as I wear them out, _with money left over.
I love your craftsmanship and attention to detail. But, WHY DO YOU INSIST ON THE UGLY OLD FASHIONED DINETTE. Just a waste of space. I don't need to sleep 20 people in my RV selection. Think modifications; such as work space, bench w/storage under, pet floor space...(Down Vote)

OMG! This is nicer than any place I have ever lived! Can't wait to get into one! Gorgeous camper and thank you for the awesome walk through! 😄👍
Hello again I've purchased Northern Lite 8-11 2 days ago. I've realized my dream. Thanks.
That's awesome Pedro!!! Congratulations!!!

We used to many years ago. We are only able to make so many models though so unfortunately we stopped that model. That may change again in the future.

1-Can order it with NovaKool 6800 compressor fridge? 2- what is the brand of this water heater? 3- any 2000w Pure Sine inverter as an option? Thx
If I wanted a no-slide camper, this would be the one.

Hi Darren, no the mirror is standard. They only come as such. Easy to clean though when needed!

Do all the outside doors and storage compartments lock up?

What is the height of the Camper from truck bed to top of Camper?
Your camera man needs to buy Canon STM lenses for silent auto focus.
Beautiful camper!
Always always start with the interior because if we dont like the interior the exterior means nothing.
Will this fit a regular Ford f150. Not 4wd. Long bed with tool box
No, you will need to look at our 610 model northern-lite.com/northern-lite-610/
Looks same as my 2024 version other than sink fixture is different.
What's the difference between the special edition and limited edition .models
The limited edition is fully loaded and the special editions series is option oriented. Both use the same shell and quality of construction.

what does the AC run off of. How much dc or propane does it use.
The AC runs off of the generator or off of shore power. Not off battery or propane.

We use very little wood. That’s the benefit of a 2-piece fibreglass shell.

If there was storage under the benches, they need to be drawers. There's not enough room to access a cabinet and no one wants to lift the bench seats.
Wish he wouldn't hold back and give us all the details. Such a small battery compartment.
I have six lithium batteries in our NL. The outside section of the under seat dinette fits 4 perfectly plus the original compartment that holds 2.
