Strictly observations, and in no way trying to make fun or knock the abilities of the divers: They aren't setting on the back dive straight. That's why they keep twisting slightly. And there should only be 2-3 divers in this video even attempting a reverse dive straight.
as a diver for the past 3 and a half years myself, i have to say these are some interesting dives, approaches, entries, and scores. if i'm not mistaken one of the earlier approaches, dude had like a 7 step approach.
Welcome to high school diving in a region where there are FEW who actually dive club. We're talking out of the 100 divers in San Diego county, only 15 are involved in any kind of program outside of the 7 weeks a year we get for our dive season.
@@dustinwebster6349 7 weeks for a season?? i feel so bad that's very short... i live in the midwest region and we have so many that dive club including myself. thanks for sharing this information, i wasn't trying to hate or anything im sorry if it came off that way
@@tessasattler5647 It's crazy to think, but even in winter, kids would rather be at the beach surfing as we have such good weather in San Diego. Summer diving??? No way, why do that when there's so much else to do here. It's HARD to find divers. We really do have TINY dive programs here and we are surprised they even have high school diving at all. But yeah, 7 weeks...it's TOUGH to give anyone a sports experience in that time. Oh, and 1 board per program and take a close look at that diving board. That's a single taper board...the last time they made them was 1968. Roll the fulcrum all the way back on a single taper and it's equivalent to a setting of about 3 on a modern cheeseboard. Most schools have the same super-old board.
@@dustinwebster6349 a 3???? i dive on 7 1/2 - 8... on both three meter and one meter. our dive season is from august to november and a week after state we start club again... there's sooo many divers here just in wisconsin
very interesting reverses must say

I would have loved these judges when I dove. They are very kind.
