    My brother and I test drove an X Trail Ti E Force in January and were blown away by the driving experience. Serene and super responsive with quality build, equipment & safety. He ordered a Ti E Force on the spot. 3 colour choices on 3 months delivery. 6 months for full colour choice.
    He took delivery last week of a Champagne colour. Fabulous.
    The 19 inch wheels give a better ride. The price of a Ti E Force is similar to the TiL petrol.
    This is better value than the 2 wheel drive Qashqai E Power.
    Definitely the only EV driving experience I would consider for myself.
    Current battery tech on pure EVs is too heavy and inefficient. Range & Infrastructure is also an issue. Battery EVs at present will depreciate hugely as newer, lighter EVs arrive with better range. Hybrid are proven to be popular in Australia. This is the best of them.

    Just bought one and absolutely love it. Fantastic driving experience, sturdy and responsive, great quality interior, very comfortable, advanced driver assisted technology. Fuel avg 6,4 l sofar and it is only 0,4 l more than our Toyota RAV4 hybrid (which in fact never goes below 5,9 l) while make and driving is so much nicer. Great for the family - back seats adjustable, plenty of space in the boot, sunroof, etc. 👍

    Test drive and put down deposit for the Ti in Orange colour with black roof. Amazing car and so easy to drive around town. The noise cancellation function is unbelievable. What I can hear through the drive is just the air conditioning vent.

    There is no denying, the interior, exterior, choice of materials, boot and passenger space are as good as or better than others in this size class, however I Can't forgive the high maintenance cost and bad fuel efficiency. Is there something I'm missing that I don't understand. ☹️

    the consumption gets poor at higher highway speeds (120kmh plus - academic, in Australia) and I would guess it is thirsty towing, or with a large roof box either but for scenarios where it can recapture energy it does ok and perhaps there is less to go wrong as well.

    • @markscott2215
      @markscott2215 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is definitely not less to go wrong. The e-force system uses a highly complicated variable compression engine and over complicated electric drive. IMO, this is a fairly pointless exercise from Nissan as the battery is so small the engine is practically running all of the time. For those looking for an economical low CO2 vehicle, look elsewhere.

    • @nyc863

      @@markscott2215 the power train has been used in kei-cars domestic Japan, for a several years: The variable compression engine is just a crank cam and actuator on a proven engine. The rest is a lighter (small battery) system also found in any EV.

    NO SPARE WHEEL?? What sort of car doesn’t come with a spare wheel. That is absurd and super inconvenient. How is the everyday person suppose to repair their tyre in a hurry. Much easier just to change the tyre.
    Does it have AWD and 4WD like the current models? HDC?

    • @davidwgrainger

      Pretty sure the average person has no idea how to even change a tyre. So blowing up the tyre with a puncture repair goo should be easier. And the epower e4orce is indeed 4wd

    A hybrid has the car driven by both an ICE and electric motor. The petrol engine here does not drive the wheels. So it's not a hybrid.
    .

    • @richard6946
      @richard6946 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So what is it then? Is it a pure EV? No. Is it a petrol car? No. Is it both petrol and electric? Yes. What's another word for both? Hybrid.

    • @robdenaro4215
      @robdenaro4215 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@richard6946 . Read my post again as to what constitutes a hybrid. Both have to drive the wheels. Not here. Call it what you want, but not hybrid.

    • @richard6946
      @richard6946 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@robdenaro4215 you're trying to be semantically correct, but in the absence of any other term for this particular drive configuration, it is most closely like a hybrid, since it has batteries that are recharged from the petrol engine and it can drive on battery power but you can't charge it directly like a PHEV. It's different from other hybrids in that the petrol engine is not connected to the wheels, but in all other ways it's mostly indistinguishable from other hybrids.

    • @Drivecomau
      @Drivecomau  ปีที่แล้ว

      There's more than one way to describe a hybrid. The Nissan e-Power system is an example of a series hybrid where the electric motor is the only source of motive power for the wheels, but the power to run it comes from the petrol motor, which acts as a generator. A parallel hybrid uses the petrol and electric systems in tandem, but more common is what's known as a series-parallel hybrid which can switch modes between series and parallel operation depending on driving demands.

    • @robdenaro4215
      @robdenaro4215 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@richard6946 . Actually, it's a petrol car ,or more precisely a fossil car. Where does the electricity that runs the electrical motors come from? Fossil fuel. There you go, solved.
