I feel like this show loves to give us negative first impression of a lot of characters, and then spends the rest of their arc making us cry over how much we love them.
When I first watched this show I thought she was the worst mother until these latest episodes with the flashbacks of her and Bojji and the Daida moments. She is the best mother in all of anime. You will not ever convince me otherwise.
Tha dance scene with Bosse and Miranjo, I see it as him both trying to make her happy, and use up her magic so she won't immediately go after Hiling again
Yeah, the thing I love about this series is that everyone has their own motives and reasonable loyalties, even the one that are more inclined into the "evil" side still feel like they are trying to act with their own beliefs and morals that just happens to align them with a side instead of viceversa.
This makes me remember how in Steven's Universe song "It's over, isn't it" someone commented how the animators planned to have a more calmed coreography but Pearls's voice actor went so hard that they needed to spice it up to match her performance. PD: Honestly I don't know if it is true, but I want to believe it regardless.
The show plays hard with your emotions, they make hiling seem like the stereotypical evil step mom and then subvert it, the 4 Knights are also very interesting because their true loyalty lies with different people But bosse takes the cake, he's super fascinating
One thing I really like and appreciate about alicia is the professional analysis on some shots Like at 17:30 Despite that she gets really emotional about the show, she takes a step back and looks at the production and the ideology behind the scenes Also she sometimes predict where everything is going and it hits quite a lot
I love how real the characters feel, in episode 1 Hilling was such an evil asshole, but as we begin to understand her and her motives she starts to become one of the realest and most caring characters in the show
But also how they don't revert her to be more likeable, like she still has the shitty attitude but now that we know about her strengths too, we love her even when her flaws are still there and this makes it feel really genuine for me.

I ain't supporting Bosse's actions, but he didn't choose to be resurrected. Mirror Lady did that of her own volition, her own greed. He just another puppet in this game.

Bro, that scene where Bojji brings the cake to his Mom's grave hit me like a ton of bricks. I needed a few minutes after that one.
