When a team places 8th in the league and still wins a FA Cup, I don't sing them praise..I ask them what the Hell is wrong with you? Do you only play when you feel like it?
I was tweeting they gave on the league pretty early on last season, they were in the mindset of only FA cup final and Euros and Copa, Bruno literally said it on TV
I have another question for Mark, why does he blindly back Ten Hag but had a problem when pundits blindly backed Ole? And does that mean that you’ve admitted that you were wrong about Ten Hag, I was wrong for backing him and now we have to bear the consequences, but I do understand when you say that you want to back your manager and club, but that backing needs to be based on substantial evidence on the pitch, not just based on a FA cup that we won, we almost lost to Coventry and Newport County, we’d be bantering another club if that happened to them, our style of play is not consistent. Complaining about past players still being here and downing tools is a false narrative, Eric loves Bruno and Rashford, that is clear as day, so saying they are the issue, when clearly they never get dropped because of Ten Hag, means that he has no excuses. Also you keep on mentioning what happens once we sack him, what is the point of keeping him? I need substantial reasons based on evidence, that he is the right man. I agree we all have different opinions, but it is not fair to bash Ten Hag outers opinions and call it negative, when there is clear evidence why he should be sacked.
Come on your ignoring all of the evidence to back him. ETH won trophies before he got the man utd job and has won trophies at man utd. Ole won zero before and zero at utd, that’s blind faith.
With appointing ten hag it was easier to believe in his success than ole given his history .. but its been obvious from the start that its a too big of a job for him

Saying spurs players don’t have the pressures of being a United player and all that comes with it. Maybe not spend £110 million on 2 young strikers expecting them to get the goals for the team when it is clear to all they are not ready or at that level. Mark says it always the players fault but £600 million of ETH players are there. He has no clue and needs to dose of reality
He always says he is up for a debate.. you know where the united stand studio is, you know where this pub is.. go on then, contact him. We all want to see it
Mark i watch you all the time have for years but blaming the players this im afraid is a cop out Eric Tan Hag has bought 20 plus players or loan them since he started with us plus hes brought youth through ontop of that and the players you mentioned who was still in the team as in Bruno and Rashford and the like still play, He's given new contracts too them and plays them week in week out after poor performance he gave Bruno the captincey no one else did, He could play other players. He's had amad,Erickson ,Garnacho's ,being on the bench Mount, even Antony and Sancho, There's loads of other players he could be playing instead of them 2, and he still plays them. There's no excuse anymore. This is his squad. They should be playing for him and they're not. Whether it's because the players aren't good enough, or its the tactics, whatever it is, it falls back on every ETH. There's nowhere for him to hide anymore its absolutely 100% on him at this point.
I am not a man united fan, but you cannot blame the manager for the players lack of effort. You're either a professional and do your job regardless of what whether you have faith in the top structure or you aren't a professional. It should push you to perform harder, since you would want to move on to a team and manager you do believe in.
The argument "it's not the manager, it's the players" doesn't work anymore as half of the current squad are Ten Hag signings. He's signed a whole team. It's his team. He's responsible for it.

Footballers need to respect the game and cut out the disgusting cheats. 19:14 effort, intensity , instruction is absolutely instilled by the manager. But he doesn’t have these guys willung to run through a wall. For example, i’m a sporting fan, i hate porto, but a guy like sergio conceiçao was always able to get his team up for it and never lack intensity, even if they were awful on paper, completely outmatched, they’d still put up a fight. 1. Bc the players and everyone around the club respected him and 2. If not , theres consequences and youre gone. Similar with my club and manager Ruben Amorim, but he’s a bit more measured. But the team is united, on the same page, goce 100% and a well oiled machine. If you’re not on board 100% then youre exiled. So yes those intangibles are absolutely instilled by the manager
What wasn't mentioned was multiple Leicester players delaying the restart on yellow cards not being sent off and Skipp should've been sent off for either a straight red card or a double yellow
To lay all the blame at the feet of Ten Hag is amazing. At some point the players should be playing for the badge or themselves. No effort from the players. There shouldn't be the major ups and downs from week to week if the same players are on the pitch. These performances have been going on for the last 5 managers. Not every manager coming into man United are awful.
Mark is right. Sacking the manager right now is not the solution. There are so many aspects to the current form. United will rise out of this, sacking 10hag will be a temporary relief as we've already seen in the past.
Mark said it himself. The main leaders of that squad are bruno and rashford. Two of the biggest earners yet also two of the most inconsistent performers in the squad. When those players are your leaders and they set the standards. It seeps through to the rest of the squad. And then they all become overpaid and inconsistent. A change of manager AND personal would be on the cards for me personally.
Utd have spent millions on players that are no where near good enough, everyone goes on about Chelsea spending billions but every single one of those players are incredible or have at least increased their value for sale
Mark, the solution is sack ten hag and bring in a manager with a specific philosophy. Newcastle sacked bruce and brought in eddie howe. With the same players that bruce managed badly, eddie coached them and brought newcastle to UCL. The same players from the championship ! So my point is, the manager will make a huge difference
I see Mark's point because I've had similar issues at Chelsea. When we sacked Potter, there was no plan for the rest of the season, so we brought in Frank, who somehow was even worse than Potter. I'm not saying Potter would've turned it around, but the lack of plan after sacking him led to one of our worst finishes in the modern era. However, I think Mark is wording his point awfully because he keeps trying to play the blame game with the players for some reason. It's really bizarre.
One option is Ten Hag admitting his flaws and hire a proper tactical coach. He has the foundation down by controlling games and high pressure, but he needs ideas on how to open up the opposition's defence instead of passing drills around the box with no clue how to create space.
Quick question, Chelsea sold Mount who was Chelsea born and bred, had a very good season, in and around the England team and a definite fan favourite. Why could you not do the same with Rashford?
As a united fan I see marks struggle with the argument with non united fans. We've seen 5 managers struggling to get a tune out of players, some of who are still here since the LVG days. As long as players are considered vital to the project by the club above all else we will never see a manager succeed. As soon as players are not giving 100% they should be dropped and if they get back into the team it can only be because they've earned it, not because of who they are. Nobody in our squad is worthy of the sort of contract Bruno, rashford and casimero have. We needed a full reset under ineos with those players leaving and younger players coming in with very little expectation. The manager needs to be the ultimate authority on who plays and who doesn't with no pressure from the board regardless of player status, contract or commercial importance.
Mark on first re-viewing of the red card ‘it’s a red, it’s a clear red’ But Aparantly the ref should have seen what he didn’t? I do still think VAR should have given the ref a second look to check it. I hope ten hag stays forever though
I think Ineos have been found out as useless. They had a chance to get a fresh start in the summer, but they bottled it and gave ETH an extension. ManU need direction, and ETH seems inept
Arne Slot has definitely had less resources. 15 million spent. Net spend was positive this summer for Slot. Under Klopp, the big rebuild cost Liverpool 91 million net spend. That's pathetic. What is Ten Hag's net spend?
With the red I think there are two instances. Bruno slipped. After slipping he attempted to tackle the player with no intention of getting the ball. The intent is what the red is for in my opinion. Only grazed him with his ankle but was out of control and could have injured if Bruno wasn’t made of paper.
Mark is correct, the rot at United has been there since before Fergie packed his bags. It is exactly the same thing as happened at Liverpool in the late 80's, the ownership changed, and the old winning culture disappeared with it. A succession of avg. managers and occasional cup runs kept the fans somewhat onside. Then they get FSG in with a clear idea of what they want to achieve and they go and identify a manager/coach who gets it and shares their vision, they invest in facilities and players that match the system and culture of the club and , bar 1 or 2 bad seasons, Liverpool have consistently challenged for the top honours. They did the exact same thing when identifying their targets for a new coach, and the 3 or 4 candidates were very similar in profile. NO manager looks at the Utd job and thinks yeah I'd love that job and all the stress that goes with it.
Cole Palmer being annoyed about not having 5/6 goals is great to see, that’s hunger to perform and I’d say I’m sure he’ll be the first player to get 6 goals in one premier league match
United need a ground up rebuild, so if the genuine question is what’s next… Then the answer can’t just be a new manager. You have almost a completely new front office running the football operations. They can have their pick coach to institute the football philosophy they want as a team, but you also need to carve out the deadweight and rebuild the wage structure and the talent and competition across-the-board. You are what you do, and right now players like Rashford are very average performances that cost a ton of money, and they are comfortable with that not changing. So all the other changes are great, but those changes with the team and with the structure and the competition in the squad need to change as well
Defending Ten Hag at this point is criminal. I'm an Arsenal fan and I think you talk a lot of sense in general but nothing will ever change with Ten Hag as your manager. He's already signed and got rid of players he wanted to and it's obvious that he's unable to organise, motivate or get the full potential out of these players. He's been fully backed by the board in all of his decisions and would have already been sacked if he was managing any other club. I truly don't understand how you can't see that he's the biggest problem at United
14 of Man Utd's 20-man match day squad were either signed by or brought into the 1st team by Ten Hag. So 70% of the match day squad was Ten Hags. What you are seeing is his vision for football.
As a lfc I think the red was soft, if he doesn’t slip then I believe he doesn’t do the same action as Bruno has to improvise/change his challenge because he has slipped so the challenge wouldn’t be the same
as a newcastle fan that also watches man utd almost every week (watch 2-4 matches per week), I can say it's absolutely on the manager. my club have had a string of sht managers over the years and it's the same thing going on at man utd. man management, instilling the right culture and recruiting players that fit in terms of mentality and personality is crucial. BUT man utd clearly have a squad that has much more skill and talent that we've had until very recently
Mark is right, man united haven't got a football culture, the players don't know what they're doing and they don't want to do anything, they have no identity. The problem is, what is Ten Hag doing to turn that around? What is a single thing he's done to turn it around? Surely even a 3/10 is better than a 0.
It wasn't that quick with the red card. VAR failed the ref. From his angle it looked real bad. But it should have been changed to yellow. I'm a liverpool fan btw
Mark and other The Hag lovers are to blame. If UTD had got rid of him at the end of last season we could have got a manager who could have bought some decent players. The Hag finished 8th, lost to Liverpool 7_0 and given hundreds of millions to buy donkeys. What good manager would come in now with this season's money spent. Joke
I genuinely don’t think it’s the players just cus they can field 8/9 proven players at a top level but those players aren’t performing despite having the ability to which is down to the manager. Like all they needed was a dm, a centre back and a striker this summer to improve right? they got de ligt, ugarte and zirkzee 2 of which are proven at a good level and the other has potential

There's going to be a massive payout when Ineos sack Ten Hag
Utd have spent millions on players that are no where near good enough, everyone goes on about Chelsea spending billions but every single one of those players are incredible or have at least increased their value for sale
That is not true. Some have, some haven’t. You can’t say all players have increased their value.
I feel like that's a slight exaggeration on Chelsea's hit rate there 🤣
You made a good point until chelsea part 😂😂
lol ok like fake modric, jackson those are only first 2. i can go on.
Will is spot on. Just look at what Unai Emery has done at Villa with the players that Gerrard left nearly fighting for relegation
Gareth Southgate’s gonna be a Manny man, Dan & Dave are on the phone as we speak. Warm up the car, get the satnav out….next stop M31 4BH
Yes mark brilliant as always
Wait for the unbelievable stats soon .....
ETH has the Beat Win Ratio......How??????
Xx are top 4.....what???
It's a nightmare....
Problem for a New manager would he want most of those players ??
Would probably have to agree to work with this squad and certain big earners
half of them are decent. other half midtable. so what the hell u talking about.
At 3-0 it was raining and Eth was standing on the sidelines with a blank look, almost like you predicted 🤦🏽♂️
When did he predict this? I want to see the video for context lol
Watch the last episode on the podcast when they were discussing the upcoming fixture 😂
It was the day before the game from memory that said 4-0 tho not 3-0 lol
It is the manager that have to get the player to fight. If they don’t drop them. He doesn’t.
0:53 Oh no. Don’t do that again. That was no good. No good at all
One option is Ten Hag admitting his flaws and hire a proper tactical coach. He has the foundation down by controlling games and high pressure, but he needs ideas on how to open up the opposition's defence instead of passing drills around the box with no clue how to create space.
I reserve my judgement on Maresca and Chelsea for their next run of fixtures after the international break: Liverpool, Newcastle, united, arsenal
Agree. There is no easy answer here. Sacking him now would create even more chaos. Keeping ten hag is the choice, for now.
Okay, so what are your tangible reasons based on evidence that we should keep him?
@@faizkirsten2977So we can get relegated 😂
Porto will look like a worldclass team on Thursday 😂
Dont think so,they lost to a freaking Norwegian team who had red card
Do not sack, Ten Hag, i am a Liverpool fan and i like the Manager, sold there best midfielder this summer
Quick question, Chelsea sold Mount who was Chelsea born and bred, had a very good season, in and around the England team and a definite fan favourite.
Why could you not do the same with Rashford?
I would love to see Unai Emery manage Manchester United 1 day , i think he will take us to the very top where we deserve to be
As a Liverpool fan, there is literally not a single United player that I would want. Their issues run far deeper than Ten Hag
Would Chris Wilder take the job? Experience in that area of the table could be crucial.
Mark!! Your blaming the players but alot of these players go on international duty and do well and it's Erik that's brought most of these players in
If u have half of the team perform extremely terrible performance, don't expect better from the othrr half
Mark on first re-viewing of the red card ‘it’s a red, it’s a clear red’
But Aparantly the ref should have seen what he didn’t?
I do still think VAR should have given the ref a second look to check it.
I hope ten hag stays forever though
I agree with will on everything about utd just not the Southgate bit
We have lost 13 out of 28 matches he is over he as near full squad no no excuses i was ten hag all the way until Saturday out out out
Southgate in .
‘Pot noodle and a w@nk’ what a legend 😂😂😂
Nickname is Weasel "cos of the furry cock" is memorable!!!
Nicked from The Office.
Cole Palmer being annoyed about not having 5/6 goals is great to see, that’s hunger to perform and I’d say I’m sure he’ll be the first player to get 6 goals in one premier league match
Mark is right on this one.
Ten Haag has squandered 600 million on average or below average players
As a lfc I think the red was soft, if he doesn’t slip then I believe he doesn’t do the same action as Bruno has to improvise/change his challenge because he has slipped so the challenge wouldn’t be the same
Alright but mark do you think if Bruno, Rashford, shaw, Maguire get sold, United get better because the majority are new players ten hag bought ?
You leave him where he is 😀
Southgate in
Ten Haag is no saint but I think a lot of it is mentality. Especially the game yesterday solidified that.
as a newcastle fan that also watches man utd almost every week (watch 2-4 matches per week), I can say it's absolutely on the manager. my club have had a string of sht managers over the years and it's the same thing going on at man utd. man management, instilling the right culture and recruiting players that fit in terms of mentality and personality is crucial.
Maybe we could go for Edin Terzic, got a decently good dortmund team to the champions league final
I’m desperate for it to work for ten hag but am realistic that I think he has to go
It wasn't that quick with the red card. VAR failed the ref. From his angle it looked real bad. But it should have been changed to yellow. I'm a liverpool fan btw
Nope. Remember Curtis Jones?
Pruno had his studs up so high, he almost caught dude's nuts! 😂
Joke
It’s the managers job to install the right mentality in the players
Rashford and Bruno ( captain ) deffo not Utd players . They are bang average
"I'm not Ten Hag in, but I wouldn't sack him"
Mark Goldfish
I genuinely don’t think it’s the players just cus they can field 8/9 proven players at a top level but those players aren’t performing despite having the ability to which is down to the manager. Like all they needed was a dm, a centre back and a striker this summer to improve right? they got de ligt, ugarte and zirkzee 2 of which are proven at a good level and the other has potential
Everyone keeps saying united are inconsistent, i disagree i think they've been consistently 💩 for 18 months. 😂 haggy in
He's such an inspiration such a talented manager 😂 ajax united f.c
