Your point on focus is, well, on point, Sven. I have studied and taught martial arts and flown jets, and in recent years put the same focus on investing. Any skill takes years to acquire and still more to master. Some skills have to be taught in person, but fortunately investing is a skill that can be acquired by reading (and watching your videos, of course!). It's a matter of putting in the time.

Very good video! I appreciate that you don't post "just stock videos" like some channels do, but also "life lessons" because investing and life goes hand in hand! My friend has a good saying: "Never problem always a solution!!!" I think this person that posted the post should try to think that way. Be like - ok houses are 500K on average - what are some of the solutions? How can I improve my skills and therefore my income. Am I a handyman person that can buy some "fixer upper property" and flip it? Do it multiple times and there is your solution... Or do you have skills that you can deploy over the internet? For example you have many professions that you can do from home and if you learn a foreign language you can have "foreign income", but "domestic expenses" and voila - you just "cracked the code"... And examples like this are endless. Networking helps as well - another famous saying goes like this: "It's not about what you do know, but about who do you know!"

These are very good points. It is important to put investing into perspective versus your income.

Definitely enjoyed the rant and your many great points about the time and effort it takes to build your financial situation up by investing in yourself over time, I’m just not sure how it relates to the guy saying he couldn’t buy a house so he went with dividend stocks instead. Maybe investing in the market is actually a better choice for him to grow his wealth given how inflated the concept of homeownership is when it comes to building wealth. Maybe this was the right choice for him to build up his financial situation just as you described.

I still cant afford to buy a home though at the moment. 2. I was actually referring to the fact that in my country (Austria), the house prices have become way too disconnected from the incomes of the people, that was my point.

I noticed though that the amount of houses and apartements on sale are on the rise and approaching 2020 levels. Self improvement is great, but let's get real. Most people are average, cannot move and double their salary. Many are low IQ and plain dumb. Even for the worst of us, YOU CAN STILL INVEST and better your life through that.
As long as you maintain a steady job, no matter how low pay, don't waste money, and can put a little aside, over time ANYONE can make a growing snowball that will help you 10 years down the line. Buy and hold dividend investing FTW!

You shouldn't get triggered for that. I follow you and sometimes your advice but I will never be triggered by people not wanting more or being happy being faitfhful and loyal to an employer. You need service, you need those people. I built my very small empire by doing things other people weren't ready to do but it's not the same for everyone and that's perfectly fine. We take chances and we put in more effort than others. We deserve more of what society can offer us because we do what others aren't prepared to do (work harder, work longer hours, study, read, prepare) but we'll all end up in the same place eventually. To each their own. I disagree with you on this topic but I do appreciate everything else you do :-D Kudos.

I mean l look at my securities portfolio total value and deduct the tax l would pay if l sell it all and friction cost (small) brokerage sell commision, then l get to my net portfolio value, l consider this amount 'my savings also'. Any thoughts?

Exactly like investments, what you personally did in your life is not necessarily possible for everyone. Please, if you really want to bring this kind of self-motivational videos, focus on specific points and not simply on "mindsets". So easy for TH-camrs to tell people to work on their income. TH-camrs have lost touch with reality smh

I appreciate your perspective on working with goals. I can also say the world is crushing a certain population.
I can say I'm fortunate to have a skill set that is in demand. I think many are recognizing the problems inherent in our current economic and political systems.

Why do you blame the economic and political system? If you don't have a skill set that's in demand, you haven't invested enough in yourself. Do you try to minimize your expenses and optimize your income? Take responsibility for your own life and stop blaming others. If the grass isn't green where you live, go somewhere else.

@@jespermadsen8528 while, again, there is some wisdom to what you say the tragedy of the commons also prevails in this world. Combine that with faceless tech and private capital firms using anticompetitive practices on top of tapping political cronies to protect against challengers and you've got a recipe for corporate consolidation.
Which, of course, is why unions are on the back heel.
I'd argue you're missing the forest for the trees.

@@davidd6660 You keep blaming others. The world is dynamic and if you aren't dynamic yourself you will lose out that's just how it is. It's a law of nature, don't fight it. It's dynamic people that change the world. Unions: they always fight change, it's a loser's club. This isn't my opinion, it's just a reflection of my observations though live.😁
