Dylan truly deserves an Oscar. He can play any type of role (traumatized lab rat, quiet-but-hot-geek, quirky teen, a psycho) and honestly that takes true talent. Not many actor/actresses can play parts like that
also he can be goofing around off set but as soon as its time to act he can change quickly and not break character which is amazing, and he can play both funny characters (stiles) and he can play serious (thomas) but honestly i agree hes an amazing actor who needs more attention and not for his looks

Dylan O’Brien truly has expressive eyes and strong facial expressions altogether. He can turn from a goofy, carefree, outgoing schoolboy into an ominous, vicious, spine-chilling alien being that is possessing the host.
Re-watching this now in 2020 i can confirm 100% this boy knows how to act. I mean i've been saying that the first time i saw him but still just putting it out.

When they (Scott, Allison and Stiles) sacrificed themselves to the Nementon instead of their parents, they inherently opened up a door in their minds and made connections to the tree. Since the Nogitsune was caught in the trees bark it got out when the tree was destroyed and used the open door in Stiles' head to possess him.
Here after seeing the movie....comparing this to the teen wolf movie 'Nogitsune' it feels like the movie version is a failed reboot of the Nogitsune and it's really disappointing because the Nogitsune back then was such an iconic villain! Here, this Nogitsune gives goosebumps and chills and with Dylan O'Brien's performance it moves the character to a whole new level! but the movie's version feels like they were so desperate to copy the Nogitsune that they forgot the essence of the character.
