This video has fulfilled my dream about hearing what the danish language sounds like from a non-danish perspective, and it's so freaking hilarious. We sound like sims characters XD
Not just for foreigners. This is what your parents and teachers hear, too, when you speak. Indistinguishable, approximated consonants and vowels falling out of your mouth and dropping to the floor. If you feel your parents don't understand you, it's because they don't. They look bewildered at one another and whisper: "Did you get that? No?" And it will be the same for you, when you have children, because it is a development in the Danish language, and it is not stopping.
Ah so it was Irish they spoke. Dane here did bot understand more than a few fragments of the "danish" part. It where like when in movies your hear the person on the other side of a phone call.
Last year I was on a cycling holiday in Denmark (among other countries) and I actually had to have a flat tire fixed. Yes, I resisted the temptation to ask for a new kamelåså.
There are more sketches with these characters, but this is the best one. If I remember correct they are just reacting to some of the sketches that had just played in the show.
As an American who was in Ireland recently I agree! Haha. I took a elevator to a roof top bar and the teenager who ran it had a complete conversation with me. But I genuinely didnt understand a single word he said! I just smiled and nodded and walked out lmao.
@@BurnBird1 no you dont... the problem is they dont understand eatchother verbally, they didnt say anything about not understanding eatchother in their written language. also if you knew what you were talking about you would know that written norwegian and written danish is so close that you can understand both so it would be pointless to learn written norwegian as if they cant understand eatchother with written danish they will not understand eatchother with written norwegian

They are Norwegian comedians, and there are no bad intentions behind it. Most Norwegians write more or less Danish (since the Norwegian written language went extinct in the 15th century), and we share a common history. Danish has been the language of education and high culture in Norway, since civil servants were exclusively educated in Copenhagen, and the king himself was a Dane. This is more like Ukrainian comedians making innocent fun at the Russian language.
It's not offensive to because our three countries have been good friends for longer than any of our great-great-great-grandparents can remember :) It has been over 200 years since any of our countries had a conflict with any other.
