AesirCorporation I was in Oprahs audience and I saw how they worked it. They bring in an extra hundred or more than of what can be seated and they pick n choose. You meet at door and then you are watched for about 5 hours. Everyone who wasnt selected either wasnt dressed right including colors or didn't fit the profile. But knowing folks in the industry and those in audience on other shows they may hold cue cards telling you how to react. The price is right interviews everyone in groups of 3 and they encourage to act nuts etc for more excitement to the show and you're already picked ahead of time yet youre basically forced to clap and yell while seated.
Ps Theres also at least one person hired instructing audience how they'd like them to behave. They communicate before show and during commercials to keep everyone rowdy.
