When I was 13, my dad used to come in my room every school morning and wake me up by singing this song super loud and off key. It was annoying at the time, but now as an adult, it's a memory I cherish. Beautiful song! I love you Dad!
What a great way to wake up!!
My dad did the same thing, but it wasn't this song, some shit he made up, once u heard him start, u had no choice but to get up, but, great memories
@@troydaigle7902 Hahaha. Some of the most annoying things growing up I'm starting to realize are now the most cherished and appreciated memories. Stay blessed!
I miss you too dad. Best regards from the west coast of Canada my friend! ss
The angst of being a teenager and parents who were your best chance at life and suddenly they annoy and embarrass.
Retired and Listening to this beautiful song every morning while bike riding. Just turned 70 and enjoying life to the max. Love everyone!
Results: no more cancer. My sister dedicates this song to me. I love it!
I was not born but I love this song 💕🌻
That's a blessing, enjoy life friend
Beautiful Sunday morning. We're retired, happy hour every day. God bless our baby boomer era.
Used to sing this song to my patients on last round at the nursing home.
The last 4 days, I've been in the hospital and it's been raining. I woke up this morning to the news I'm getting discharged and going home. The sun is shining and it really is a beautiful morning!
i wish you the best, broda!
Good luck with everything. And that IS a great song to wake up to. 😊
Best wishes to you for good health! It is a beautiful morning!
STILL listening @ 74 yrs old!!!! ❤🎉❤🎉❤❤❤❤
PEACE
I'm 71 and remember this song back in my day. It's a wonderful blessing to still be above ground to hear it. The music back then is unparalleled .And peace and hearts to you, too. ❤
On my last half-day in high school in 1969, while driving home with friends, "It's a Beautiful Morning" comes on the radio. Fifty-nine years later, I still carry that wonderful memory thanks to the Rascals.
So you're saying you're from the future? 😁
Beautiful!!!! Thank you i was just there with you in the car feeling free onward to uncertainty!!! 😊
This is from my teens. Yes, old guy. The song makes me tear up with memories.
🙋🏾♀️ Remember when people could actually sing? ❤❤❤❤
Felix was one of the very best!!❤👏🥰
The voice WAS the melody, not the synth. The song got YEARS of play, not months. It had a purpose, not a paycheck
Truly one of the most upbeat songs ever.
I was about 10 years old in March of 1968. It was Spring vacation and no school and I went outside on a bright, beautiful morning when I heard this song on the radio for the first time. I think of that peaceful day every time I hear this beautiful song. My sister went out and bought the single. It was the first stereo 45rpm I ever heard. I long for days like that again.
I was going through some hard times at the time with my parents nasty divorce but as soon as I heard that song on the radio it brought me right I'm out I'm I'm of my blue funk and made everything seem alright again.
WOW! I get it! Life was a mixed bag of emotions in the late 60's when I was 9-10. But hearing this on the radio always uplifting! And especially these days! Hang tight guys!
Cool story! Rascals were shining stars for time
I feel exactly the same exact way...Miami Florida 1968~The beautiful weather and beaches 🏖❤️
Great memory
RIP Dino Danelli. An underrated drummer for sure.
Never get tired of this song❤ am 77, sitting outside my school's (summer home), drinkin my coffee, thanking God for the birdsong, the chickens, the beautiful trees & flowers and my life. My kids grew up on good music ❤
I'm 25 yrs old and I just love how many old folks we have in the comment section and sharing their little experience in the past. It makes me feel like I wanna go back to the past with them.
It was a cool time. I was younger say 10 bur the music and dancing was never dull.
😅 old folks. We're just...older with a young attitude 😊🇨🇦
25 years old as well and I feel the same way! We really did miss out on the golden age of life
Just wiser and cooler
I read a story about a guy who would play this song every morning on his radio on a firebase in Vietnam . It was on the Armed Forces Network playlist . A beautiful morning in Vietnam .
Loved hearing this music just before my deployment to Vietnam in 1968.Danced with my friends and Army nurses before we were sent are ways
Thank you for your service on this Veteran's Day.
I’m happy you are here to enjoy this song now and all the good memories of those days . I’d imagine there were things you would prefer not to have memories of - we all do over time, even if we weren’t sent to a war. You made a good start with listening to this song and dancing. I love how I feel when I hear it and do a little dance and smile. ❤😊
@catherinemeza.....my heart breaks for warrenbarshe....he enjoyed the sounds of peace and well-being, but was told that he's fighting "communism"- (now called, "shopping at Walmart/all "communist china" goods). Like so many other young men ordered around and barked into obedience, he destroyed the peace and well-being of millions of poor people (Vietnamese). Napalm, carpet bombings, burning villages, rape, countless massacres (my lai was just one that had its cover story ripped apart) Don't call this "service", an obscene misnomer for what blood thirsty and greedy US military did to those people. @@catherinemeza9050
napalm poisoned the water and the crops. babies born with no arms or no leg. massacres, gang rapes ""thank for your "SERVICE"?@@catherinemeza9050
Goosebumps
Became a teen when this song hit AM radio. Decades later, I bought a 1968 Pontiac Firebird convertible and played this song on cassette to celebrate...another beautiful morning.🎉 Another emblematic song of that decade.
This song is soulful. It doesn't matter how many times I hear. It always hits the same.
Are you sure that you are not sure?
@@skeeterblanton5226 only about picking a profile name.
Yes
I’m 73 and this is my favorite morning get out and enjoy the day.
Just what I needed this morning. Gazing out my kitchen window at the sunrise with hopefully winter waning it’s refreshing. When you’re 70 it’s the little things. ❤😊
The world needs more ☮️🎶🌄uplifting tunes!
This song is timeless
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My fathers favorite band. The only thing wrong with this incredible song is it’s too damn short.
Lotta songs were super short back then
True! It is too short.
The curse of signing with a record company. Those labels had executives that sold records by an established formula back then. Three minute songs. What a shame!
@Nicky Bigg What a sweet tribute to the Rascals and this song, Nicky ... I bet your Dad is awesome ... Tell your dad I TOTALLY GET IT !!! 💖
@@iCarilloninChrist
Thank you. I will
I play this uplifting song from my youth almost every morning. I was all of 8 in 1968. It really gets my mood up and going even on overcast, cold, or rainy days. Because every day that I wake up with all my faculties in tact and my limbs operational, it IS a beautiful morning.
Amen to that!!🎉👍🙏👏👏👏👏
I have this set to mine and both my sons alarm clocks to wake up to every morning. For the exact same feeling, it just sets the mood correctly for the day if you let it. Keep on keepin on
It was on the playlist of AFN in Vietnam . Imagine being on a firebase and hearing it in the morning !
Well It is Saturday 12-31-22 . 59 Degrees Sunny here in
San Antonio, Texas
Yes Indeed Thanks be to GOD .
For this Beautiful Morning.
This group you can't say enough about their talent
Their versatility, vocals , harmony and original!🌹
Grew up listening to this great band. They don't make them like this anymore.
Still one of the best "Feel Good Songs" there is...Frogs me up every time I hear it .........78 now and still is my go to song......Ready to take on the day, I might even toke one....Have a nice day..
Anything worth tokin' is worth tokin'twice 😉
Good old memories
The Young Rascals, then The Rascals: My favorite group group from the '60s!!!
Got to love the Rascals their music sounds just as good today as it did in the great 60s.
Yes!😊👍
Indeed!!
The Rascals were the best.
I thank God for another day in my life, and then I listen to this song, and everything feels right, no matter what I'm going through.
I hear you.
This song is a great way to start the day..puts you in a good mood being happy and upbeat. Love it ❤
Everyone could sing back then.
So true😴💯 What a joy!!
So beautiful morning oh ohh ohoh 😊
No everyone couldn't sing back then. Not everyone is blessed with musical talents. Now today anyone can sing because of auto tune & other computer generated gimmicks
I played drums in bands in the 60's like so many kids back then and when we hear the Rascals we flipped out - they were everybody's favorite band and they had the best drummer by far, Dino Danelli with original style and showmanship we all tried to copy him. The happiest day of my like was when I finally got my pink champagne Ludwigs with a 24 inch bass drum just like Dino's, but looking like Dino was one thing and playing like him was another. RIP Dino we all loved you!
I'm missing my brother Steven Anthony Gutierrez he's in the U.S Navy. We need to listen to this jam when you get home brother I love you! 💜
These Italian boys have a lot of soul, and R&B in them!
Amen!
Wait theres one italian in the group?
There's two Italians: Eddie Brigati and Dino Danelli.
@@MichaelHartman-qt4mp isn't felix also italian?
@miguel I think I read somewhere that Felix is half Italian, while Dino and Eddie are full blooded Italian. I'm not sure about that, though. Gene Cornish is Canadian.
Best summer song ever!! ❤
My mom LOVED singing this song to us on the mornings! Thanks Rhino for the memories!
I sang it to my kids as a wakeup song. It's a sweet reminder to seize the day.
Lord i wish i could go back to that time when i woke up every morning with energy and a great zest for life! I miss that joy. What is happening in our world?
it's not happening in our world, it's happening to you. I feel the same way, wondering where that energy and zest have gone. We have to find a way to gain it back, independent from the state of the world
Have faith in our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST in him look for joy 🙏☝️✝️😊
👍I feel you
It's like you read my mind! Wonderful days. Beauty all around. Adventures. Love and it's possibilities, were everywhere! It affected my mood. In love with life!
Sorry to say this, " our country is going to shit "
Felix Cavaliere's voice never truly got the full recognition that he rightfully deserved
IMHO, Felix did get a lot of recognition for his voice and as an organ player, they did appear at Woodstock, where a lot of great bands were just emerging, and a whole lot of freeloaders spoiled the event for everyone. The Rascals had some great talent behind them; Ariff Mardin, producer and Tom Dowd, who unselfishly helped many great artists like Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Cream... Tom Dowd and Ariff Mardin's name appears on a few of the Rascals albums. Also their studio bass player, Adrian Barber.
Eddie Brigati’s voice added to the mixture, all to a great harmony. Too bad Eddie & Felix couldn’t get it together later on.
I love love love this song . I too play it every morning. I'm reading where a lot of folks are commenting about the joy they USED to have while reminiscing. Find the Joy NOW.!!! Yes, there are awful, very awful things happening in our world, BUT and despite that your happiness is a choice! C'mon. listen to it, feel it. Enjoy it. I'm sure you'll be left smiling even for just a little while!
You’re right! I read somewhere that if you have one happy friend within a mile that you’re happier - so I try to be that happy friend !!
Wow, gr8 comments! Can't stay grumpy or sad after hearing this song!
Exactly ! ❤️🙏🏻🌞
Still inside?
Shouldn't hide.
Like your attitude
RIP Dino Danelli. You were a Great Drummer for The Rascals
I woke up to this song the day of my discharge from US Army in 1968! Yes it was Beautiful and memories to this day? Thanks
I was born in 1970, so I would hear this as a preschooler on AM stations. It's a fantastic song I still enjoy. I also remember I always saw green helicopters, green forests, and men in green helmets and clothes on TV every night. Too young to understand it was war coverage. Thank you so much for your service!
Thanks for your service!
Just discovered this song right now...LOVE IT!!!
Lol that was so cool the Latin beat keep me alive...lol
Better late than never!!!
@@michaelsummers7327 Merry Christmas to you too!
1968, I was a teenager, very young. This band was my introduction to Rock and Roll.
the 'Greatest Morning Song' of all time! 😊
What a wonderful song!!!❤
Woke up to this song every spring morning sophmore year high school.
I play this first thing every morning in gratitude for each day. Salute everyone!
You got it right J. Sole!
Love their music. So soulful, reminds me of the late 60s, my teenage years💜💜
GREAT IDEA!!!
Me too then I get natural highhhh

I love this song
Great, Great, song!!! Believe it or not my favorite part of this song is when he sings "Oh , Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh. Can't help it just love the way he sings it !! 😂
Such great memories with this BEAUTIFUL SONG
This song reminds me of my teenage years. 1964 to 1968 . Out of school for the summer. Hanging out with my friends at Archer Park Chicago Southside. Memories that I'll never forget for the rest of my life. I'm 72 now and retired. But every now and then I think about and wonder whatever happened to some of those people I knew and hung around with during that time. Those were the days!
My dad's from 38th and St Louis so not too far, he was class of '72 Kelly High School. I like to imagine you might have raced my dad on archer one night back in the day!
@@BR-it2qe I'm familiar with the Brighton Park area. I don't think I raced your dad down Archer Ave back in the day. I did have friends that attended Kelly High School but graduated in 1969.
Omg I'm back in 68 and I'm 12 and having a great life!
In my prime. The world was ours.
Roscoe Garbonzo .. I agree .. Felix Cavaliere is one of The most
under-appreciated artists, songwriters, soulful singers EVER ..
Agree, but don’t forget about Eddie Brigati. He was no slouch, sang lead on How Can I Be Sure, It’s Wonderful, etc
They’ve got sunshine in their hearts!!💨☀️
Had a clock radio in my room. Every morning when this particular station came on air it played this uplifting song. Takes me back to a special time.
This song starts
my morning
Classically yours
As a kid in Rio de Janeiro I would hear this song many and many times and I loved the sound of it, even without understanding a word of it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thankou for whoever uploaded it.
即時に 1968年 初夏 の清々しい雰囲気が漂ってくる 素晴らしい曲であります❗️
Love this band. They don't make great music like this anymore.
Oh course they do. We re just old
One of the happiest songs I know.😊😊
I WAS A YOUNG CHILD IN PALO ALTO CA. AND MY COUSIN STEVE BOUGHT ME THIS ALBUM, I STILL LOVE, TODAY
This song is absolutely the best to get your day started.
We had much respect for the Rascals in the black community back then especially Felix , I kid you not I deeply kissed my first girlfriend while he was crooning Grooving on my portable record player.
Thanks Felix for that wonderful moment in the summer of 67 😅
OUR HIGHSCHOOL MEMORIES..... 🎶 BACK IN THE DAY...😎
Still my favorite Rascal Song, 2020! Thank You Rascals, from Hawaii!
Mine too . Still a rascal and still loving this song in 2023 . Salutations returned from New Mexico

I Like Groovin. But I Love/Need This Song.
Listening to this beautiful song on a beautiful morning with my sweet Guinea pig, Tilly. Starting our day off with a smile! Peace and Love everyone 😊✌️❤️
Son, if you ever come across this, I’ve woken you up with this song since you were 2. You are currently 5, days away from being 6. I love you Son. You are my everything.
What a beautiful message
I used to sing this song to my kids in the morning. They're now 28 and 33 and now they sing it to me!
Dang it you made this old man tear up. Man do I miss my little ones all grown up now. Relish it my man every second of it.
I'm now your adopted son. Thank you 😘
I’m still listening to this🥰!! My Auntie played it back in the 60s over and over, I was about 5 yo lol…. Now I’m playing it over and over 😍🎶
I know what would be a beautiful morning ..wake up in someone’s arms .
As a kid, I always loved this song. Still do.
I think of this song every day. Now 67, Funny how we hold on to simple Joys. God bless music.
Great song recommend by my great uncle who was a Vietnam veteran.
I Love the Rascals ❤ One of the Best Groups in the Day ❤❤
The 1960's was a great time to be a kid.
ridin yer stingray bike, with a banana seat... heading to the beach- ahhhh... warm sand, warm water- MISS those dazzzzz
Oh yeah. Tiny transistor radio hanging on my bike handle, watching Batman and the Monkees after supper.
Born in ‘63.
I feel the same way but kids grow up and choose a tribe. And my ride or die white friends have went off the reservation and are now on the trump train
Community sports, closer neighbours, great music all made for a better and happier time.
This song is on regular rotation in my playlist!❤
RIP Dino 🙏
Listened to this with my dad many days! Love it
Hail and farewell, Dino Danelli.
Love love his soulful voice and THIS song!!!!💕
This song and grooving on a Sunday afternoon always lifts my spirit regardless what kind of day I had
I absolutely love this song. Days when I wake up as the suns rising and shining brightly through my bedroom window, I get a cup of coffee and listen to this and gets my day off to a wonderful start!!🌞😎☕
Best "White Soul" group from the 60's... This was definitely the was it was done in the 60's.......end of lesson.....😉
It’s a Beautiful Band 💕 wish I was 15 again…
The lead singer had such a great voice. The Rascals were a very good group!
I love this song and the group. Listened to it a lot. An old lefty from the 60s.
So much of their compositions are Timeless!💝
I remember when this song came out in 68. It was a beautiful song then and now. Brings back memories of that special time in my life. I was going with my future wife, the only girl I ever loved.
8 th grade !!! Heard it on a beautiful Saturday morning. Never forget that moment
Great song with the Kings of Blue Eyed Soul. This song creeps into my head sometimes, especially when I wake up to a nice, sunny morning.
Yes thats what they were called "Blue eye soul" 👍got that right
As good as ever!
What a lovely song! I like to put it on my MP3 with headphones and walk outside in the am (not every day) and what a great way to start the day.
One of my favorite groups from back in the day, they don’t make music like this anymore! ❤️❤️
Not gonna lie I had no idea they were white
Me either they definitely got soul
They’re ‘blue eyed’ soul.
😂 … they had alotta soul … its what made them so successful
A beautiful song❤
Honestly
This group is from NJ but
Many white groups from Europe had that black sound… great music✨✨✨✨
I'm SICK so this SONG came to my heart ☺️💕☺️
AM radio classic!
Great classic
Brighten up your day ❤
This group got some seasoning. Great song ❤
