There is a perfect will of God and a permissive will of God. The graciousness of God is the permissive will. If you don't end up with the perfect will, the permissive will is always available to fill in. But in my opinion, The One is not "a person" but values and attributes. I definitely believe in soul mates, I have met a soul mate in a friend. Also not all soul mates are meant to stick around (their job is to set your soul on fire - hopefully in the right direction). I don't believe in the one.

I do believe there is the one, which sometimes is mistaken with a twin flame(if you have met this type of person you will understand that a soulmate exists, regardless whether we meet them or not). I am currently with the person that we both believe are each other's ones because of how easy it is to love one another where as in previous relationships I would bend backwards to either impress or express love to my partner, and the understanding of love languages helps as well. 2. Mental list, this is solely dependant on one's EQ, as a human, we love first with our eyes, but that will not keep the relationship, that is just the attraction but what will her curves do for me or us, those are her assets and I cannot be with you solely because of how you look, there is the mind and heart, which is what we ultimately fall in love with.

This was nice one Fam, thank u😍 ...My take is that there is 'The one' but the one is not really pre_ordained from birth, but rather they possiton themselves (by the help of God). e.g Abraham's servant said , "Let the one one who will feed my carmels be the one" , Rebecca was not pre_ordained, but she became the one just by hearing the spirit at the right time and be at the right place...so I think it all goes back to God being the one to influence our list and also Him being the one to lead us to right places at right times . However I must say that , for any single who has been trusting God for marriage for bit longer , this topic really takes a different shape , and I think that people who met right people for marriage earlier in their lives may not get it fully it. To me it seems like anyone could potentially have healthy relationships with different people and those relationships could work for very different reasons. There are also people who are just not compatible with each other and have no business forcing a relationship between them because that would be a disaster😅. So in the end, if we have to embrace the idea of soulmates, it would make more sense to think of people becoming soulmates instead of it being a fate/ predestined thing. If soulmates exist, they are most likely made, not born.

I believe that you can choose to make it work with or be with anyone who's willing to put in the same work/effort as you do and that person becomes "Your One".
This narrative of "The One" makes it sounds like it's either A or nothing, while "My one" means I choose to make any person who is fit for me "MY one"

I think "the one" depends on how much you love someone. The person might be perfect in your eyes because of how you feel when you are with them, the things they do for you. Even when they don't do things the way you want, but they way they decide to it is somehow satisfying for you. At the end it's less about them and more about how you love them. The one is the chosen one not he perfect one.

True be taken and I have to say I got married at age 20 and now I am 12 years in marriage I have to say it felt like he is the one back then even till today I still feel he is the one because of how our story unfolded never in my dreams did I think I would agree to get married at 20 but at that time it felt right and honestly I was not even praying for marriage, I prayed about it after he proposed.

As far as “soulmates” are consent. I honestly feel like my soulmate is my creator. The bible says He knew me even before I was formed in my moms womb, He knows me by name, He knows the numbers of my hair, He has ordained my steps even before I could walk them....for me that’s one person that knows me far beyond. Since then I haven’t seen God giving anyone else in the Bible a husband or a wife(correct me if I am wrong), which makes me believe that God gave us a free will in this area as well.

I don't think there's nothing wrong with the list because we all have preference based on our personalities. But we must be careful that we don't make the list an idol, even when God actually gives a green light to that person but due to one's list they don't qualify. Anything that is exalted more than God becomes an Idol in our lives
