It must be strange for an actor to have spent so long doing films to find a career defining role in a BBC drama but Mr Murphy has done just that. No one else can ever play Tommy Shelby.
He has played fame so smart. Flew almost under the radar for nigh on 15yrs? There or there abouts. A long time before anyone gets too precise or pedantic. No one really knew who he was, then Peaky Blinders just went postal! Yeah he has done it better than going from a child star to superstar. He would scoff at that most likely. Being called a superstar. He seems very engaging with a really warm demeanour. The scenes with him and Tom hardy are just heavenly. Essential drama. Never followed anything before this

Sharon Mullins I can’t wait for Season 5. I think it has potential of being one of the best if not the best season yet. Seasons 3 and 4 have been good, but not as good as the first two seasons. The Russian plot in season 3 was over complicated to the point where the writer dropped it entirely. I expected it to continue in season 4 because it was developing well but they just decided to drop it. Season 4 was too simple of a plot with a villain way to over the top. Best thing about Season 4 was Alfie. I’m interested to see how they deal with the politics side of the show and I hope they don’t butcher Oswald Mosley’s character. I don’t want his character to be a full villain where us viewers can’t understand his actions. He and the Billy Boys will be the main threat to Tommy this season, but I’m also intrigued to see Tommy struggling with himself. Only two days to go!
Jorge Cardozo Who do you prefer Luca to? Inspector Campbell and Alfie are my favourite “villains” in the show. Adrien Brody is a great actor, but his performance didn’t feel natural with Luca’s character. Felt stereotypical. Season 4 has its moments and I still loved it, but seasons 1 and 2 are the best in my opinion.

Never followed anything before this
I think really good actors rarely crave hollywood lights. I feel like we get served whoever wins the social media game too, like I love the Rock but does he have to be in everything 😂
He is so underrated. He deserves more. He is one of the best actors of this century. Peaky blinders is a complete masterpiece
I got lung cancer just by watching this show
grymmy LMAOO for real tho!!
Ha ha
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA DAMN RIGHT 😂😂😂😂
they be lighting cigarettes every 5 seconds
Lmao😂😂
I’ve never seen Cillian Murphy so engaged and alive in an interview. I love it. He was perfect for this role.

i know right?!
Kudos for the Sherlock reference. You're absolutely right, Cillian is a Strikingly handsome man. No pun intended.
I remember watching the first season and seeing comments like “he was so happy in season 1” and I was like wait what that’s his happy phase? After seeing the rest of the season i was like yeah he really was
True
I think he was happy before France and the war took any hope or faith he had in anything, so he was a Stoic beast afterwards.
I just finished season 1 and I’m starting to be concerned if this means happy
@@mishellekap1579 Wait till he snaps in season 5
He wasnt happy, but he was definitely mentally better than the following seasons. Success comes with a price..
Everything about Cillian is so amazing, I can't even put it into words.
Someday in the future, when people look back at era defining dramas of 21st century,
Peaky Fokin Blinders will stand tall over all the contemporaries of its time.
I kind of agree! In a period drama gangster genre.. there is nothing close to it in terms of the quality and execution
Right next to Breaking Bad 🤭😁
Breaking bad and peaky blinders.. heisenberg and tommy shelby
It reminds me of Long Good Friday... but it lasts so much longer and is so much better polished.
@@fmkhan213 No it doesnt, its a top tier show for sure by 2010s standards, nothing groundbreaking.
“All religion is a foolish answer to a foolish question” - Tommy Shelby
@@lukeshaw4287 evolution has been here for billions of years and there are still people who don't believe it. It makes more sense to base our philosophy on this quote than on a book written for the elderly and edited by others over time. Those who fail to see that God (any kind of God) is just a human creation will never realize that they are free to do whatever they want. That they need not be afraid of a deity who will judge them afterlife. Because life afterlife just doesn't exist. The more you learn studying the history of mankind, the more you see how this world works and how our beliefs are just beliefs that will die with us.

So glad that a few creators still choose excellency over massivity
Jorge Cardozo
What do you mean?
And sophistication, and intelligence over washed out, dumbed down, rehashed trash. Now I have to keep Netflix for a few more months, live for this show.

I can’t wait for Season 5.
@@omar_elattar.6500 I prefer Luca, way better performance; but even better, Sabini and Inspector Moss
Jorge Cardozo
Who do you prefer Luca to? Inspector Campbell and Alfie are my favourite “villains” in the show.
Adrien Brody is a great actor, but his performance didn’t feel natural with Luca’s character. Felt stereotypical. Season 4 has its moments and I still loved it, but seasons 1 and 2 are the best in my opinion.
May you be in heaven a full half hour, before the devil knows you’re dead.
Just warched that episode
Cillian clearly has a deep empathy for his characters. The way he understands them blows my mind.
I'm just replaying Tommy kissing and hugging Charlie because he's just adorable as a dad and that's something we don't see often in Tommy Shelby
His voice..how does he change it so much for the show. It's amazing.
His voice in the show is so attractive
Pretty sure they edit the voices to make them sound deeper
He’s so damn gorgeous!
Unpopular opinion : the haircut he has during this interview is disgustingly too short
AzardV no I think it looks better shorter
@@didlydoo7029 Mate I mean look he has got no hair at all on sides and it is not even because of a nice fade he could have had so for me it's a no even if I am a big fan of the peakys' haircuts though

This show felt so real, I was so surprised to find that is was entirely made up. Such beautiful writing.
NewBookSmell same here. Initially I thought it was based on real life then I came to know its not but them again I got to know that its partially based on real life !
It’s “loosely” based off of real life. The director has ancestors from Birmingham and through stories past down to him from family has given him an inside look into how things were run back then. There was no actual Tommy Shelby but other people who were similar. Instead of them being in charge in the 1920’s they were actually more active pre-WWI.
The show was made up but in that time there really was a gang called the peaky blinders in england and they really did sow razor blades into their hat brims a detail included in the show fun fact

Just started this show a week ago and it's a fookin' masterpiece.
He should be the next James Bond...😎
YES!!
I agree but I guess we have to give "Eat my Elbow" a go at it first.
Yes I agree, he has that strong silent type thing going on like Craig Daniel. He can speak to you with his eyes without opening his mouth. His actions speak louder than words, his silence commands respect and his body shouts authority, I'm in charge without being arrogant!
Mila Sophia he is too good for james bond
He would absolutely nail the role. He has the good looks, and he has the charm. Perfect choice
