- This is Anima Iris's Nectar Zaza Bag (grande size).
Price at time of review: $705
This is Anima Iris's submission to the chopping block-where brands submit their products in exchange for my unfiltered review.
Overall, a well-made bag and it is in fact all leather. Anima Iris makes their leather bags in Dakar, Senegal. The leather lined interior is a huge plus ,and of exceptional quality. The flashy crocodile print exterior may not be everyone's style, but it is good leather.

Hey theres nothing wrong with embossed cowhide as long as the company is open about it. Its more functional for someone who doesnt want to spend thousands on a bag.
150 bucks and you can get a real crocodile bag in Vietnam. In any model you like.
I don't know why you think it must take thousands to own crocodile leather stuffs
Also if you don't like the idea of crocodiles being killed just for their skin. At least if it's cowhide/calfskin you know it almost certainly came from an animal slaughtered primarily for meat.

I have an Anima Iris bucket bag and I love the quality. But I’ll have to say it’s not very practical for daily use, I prefer using it for special occasions.

Some nice big alligators in the lakes by my house in Florida. Every time I see a really large gator I think ‘oh, luggage’. 😂
I also prefer the inside leather over the outside😊

I don’t understand this guy. The first scene, he slashed the front. Why? And why does he have to take it all apart when he only uses a small part of leather to test it with acetone. He is an expert so I’m sure he can judge the quality without tearing it all apart. Just take 1 piece, that’s it.

Not at all
I'm a fan of embossed ostrich if the finish enhances rather than covers and looks natural. I'm not much of an embossed crocodile fan because it doesn't get the edges of the big scales right, so I can tell. I don't have anything against it but people always scrutinize it and it seems like the whole point is the prestige of it being real so no matter how cool it looks and happy you are with embossed croc you can't take ot anywhere without someone trying to figure it out and size you up. I've never seen a thick shiny finish like in the video on real croc, is it because it would get under the scales and fill in the overhang, ruining it? Anyway, I hope nobody does that to real croc, it would be beside the point.

PU leather is the best if you can afford it. Second best is Naugahyde.

Easiest way to check for real alligator or crocodile is to wet it, it will smell like a very mild fish smell, but putting thick coatings on it will prevent you from smelling that distinct smell. Buy minimally processed alligator and crocodile.

@@barcostudio I don’t know where you read that but thats not it, the bag is orange not green, it literally says on the site “ The Nectar is this luxurious, shiny orange croc leather with a white undertone. The texture is subtly smooth to the touch and the quality is to die for. This leather looks and feels luxurious and is set to stand out.” They never mention it’s croc print, but croc leather.
