I'm pretty sure it alludes to a sexual meaning as well. Like the line after he says bambi he says "dripping down on us all night until morning". Baekhyun's 4th solo album and title track is called "Bambi" for multiple reasons. One reason is because one of Baekhyun's nicknames he has been given by some of his fans is Bambi. Fans say he looks cute like a doe-eyed deer. This album is meant to be a gift for fans because he was about to enlisting in the military and he wanted to give us something to keep us company while he was away for 18 months serving his country. However, the song is more about the fact that Bambi refers to "night rain" as you see he talks about in the lyrics -- it's a play on words in Korean -- Bam as in night and bi as in rain. And in English, Bambi refers to a woman with long legs -- and that is where the name for the Disney character comes from -- which is also the nickname of the character/woman Baekhyun is talking about in the song. :D However, the song has very little, if anything, to do with the Disney movie -- the cute little deer with the same name, isn't really even connected to the song. (In western pop culture the name Bambi is given to female characters in novels and movies because it is used as a metaphor for her sexual appeal and appearance. That is why Disney chose that name for the deer in their story because it was a play on the fact that Bambi has long legs and big doe-eyes like a voluptuous woman. :D So Baekhyun is not talking about a deer in the song, but he is using it as a nickname for the woman he is singing about.) All I know is that, we see SM Entertainment's male supergroup SuperM -- which Baekhyun and EXO's Kai are a part of -- in a subway train in their "100" MV, we see SM girl group aespa also in a subway train in their debut "Black Mamba" MV and we see SM legendary boy group SHINee in an old train station in their "Don't Call Me" MV. We even see EXO's Kai on train tracks in his "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and people on a subway train platform as it transitions to his song "Mmmh." Fun fact: UN Village (pronounced like U.N. Village -- like United Nations -- UN. Not unvillage.) is a real place in Korea. It's a ritzy, trendy neighborhood in Korea where some of the top celebrities and idols live. For example, some of the members of BigBang and SHINee have, or used to have, apartments/condos in UN Village. (I think even Baekhyun now lives in the UN Village area.) The area is known for its cool architecture and landscapes, and I think some of this MV was either shot in UN Village or, at the very least, the sets were meant to emulate the look of UN Village. So Baekhyun has said that the song is supposed to make listens feel like they want to take their date to UN Village and wander through the streets and buildings while whispering words of love in their ear, etc. "UN Village" and this album City Lights is Baekhyun's solo debut. He kind of surprised all of us with this one. Before the song was released, we all were trying to guess what kind of style and sound his first album was going to have. And, although this style totally makes sense for him, I don't think many were anticipating it would be quite this soulful. However, since then, all of Baekhyun's albums have been heavily R&B based. Also, Baekhyun's EXO superpower is the ability to control light. So, although "UN Village" is a love song and he is singing to and about a girl and about her light, the lyrics are also referencing the fact that his superpower is the ability to control light. The lyrics have a double meaning -- it's about love, but it's also about how he can literally turn off the street lights with his powers. That is why this MV has so many references to spotlights and shadows and light and dark and why you see the shadow of lamps with bare light bulbs, and why it's in black and white, etc. Hence, one reason why the album is called City Lights, which obviously also references his power. LOL As with almost everything EXO does, the red light is thought to represent the Red Force and blue represents EXO. So the scenes that are red could be instances where the Red Force is in control and the scenes in blue are when Baekhyun has the upper hand. Also take note of the giant map he is looking at hanging on the wall in this MV. When you eventually get to watch EXO-CBX's MV for their song "Horololo," you will see what many think is that same map hanging on the wall in the office Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin are in in their "Horololo" MV. (It's also thought to be the map we see on the phone that EXO's Kai and NCT's Taeyong are using in SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV.) The scene with Baekhyun laying on the table still hasn't been explained, but it is thought that it will eventually become important to connect something to do with EXO's storyline in the future. Everything EXO does is connected to the group's concept and storyline. This song and MV is an example of how even many of EXO's solo projects are part of the story. Even as soloists, they can't escape the fact that they are members of EXO. Everyone gets a little jealous and wishes they were that female dancer Baekhyun smiles at and dances with in "Candy". Even most guys, LOL. The flirty vibe of this song is what makes everyone melt. So, "UN Village" and City Lights is supposed to have an evening theme and his follow up song "Candy" and Delight repackaged album, is supposed to be daytime/daylight. It all is meant to play off of each other. :D The two albums are as different as night and day. And, to really appreciate the choreography, if you haven't yet, you need to check out the dance practice video for "Candy." You will be even more impressed. I think you'll really be surprised when you see the full choreography. ;)

The funny thing about UN Village, is that the live version sounds totally different live..."because" of the fanchant!it is so powerful and cheerfull that it totally changes the mood of the song in a certain way..

Fun fact: UN Village (pronounced like U.N. Village -- like United Nations -- UN. Not unvillage.) is a real place in Korea. It's a ritzy, trendy neighborhood in Korea where some of the top celebrities and idols live. For example, some of the members of BigBang and SHINee have, or used to have, apartments/condos in UN Village. (I think even Baekhyun now lives in the UN Village area.) The area is known for its cool architecture and landscapes, and I think some of this MV was either shot in UN Village or, at the very least, the sets were meant to emulate the look of UN Village. So Baekhyun has said that the song is supposed to make listens feel like they want to take their date to UN Village and wander through the streets and buildings while whispering words of love in their ear, etc.
"UN Village" and this album City Lights is Baekhyun's solo debut. He kind of surprised all of us with this one. Before the song was released, we all were trying to guess what kind of style and sound his first album was going to have. And, although this style totally makes sense for him, I don't think many were anticipating it would be quite this soulful. However, since then, all of Baekhyun's albums have been heavily R&B based.
Also, Baekhyun's EXO superpower is the ability to control light. So, although "UN Village" is a love song and he is singing to and about a girl and about her light, the lyrics are also referencing the fact that his superpower is the ability to control light. The lyrics have a double meaning -- it's about love, but it's also about how he can literally turn off the street lights with his powers. That is why this MV has so many references to spotlights and shadows and light and dark and why you see the shadow of lamps with bare light bulbs, and why it's in black and white, etc. Hence, one reason why the album is called City Lights, which obviously also references his power. LOL
As with almost everything EXO does, the red light is thought to represent the Red Force and blue represents EXO. So the scenes that are red could be instances where the Red Force is in control and the scenes in blue are when Baekhyun has the upper hand.
Also take note of the giant map he is looking at hanging on the wall in this MV. When you eventually get to watch EXO-CBX's MV for their song "Horololo," you will see what many think is that same map hanging on the wall in the office Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin are in in their "Horololo" MV. (It's also thought to be the map we see on the phone that EXO's Kai and NCT's Taeyong are using in SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV.)
The scene with Baekhyun laying on the table still hasn't been explained, but it is thought that it will eventually become important to connect something to do with EXO's storyline in the future.
Everything EXO does is connected to the group's concept and storyline. This song and MV is an example of how even many of EXO's solo projects are part of the story. Even as soloists, they can't escape the fact that they are members of EXO.
Everyone gets a little jealous and wishes they were that female dancer Baekhyun smiles at and dances with in "Candy". Even most guys, LOL. The flirty vibe of this song is what makes everyone melt.
So, "UN Village" and City Lights is supposed to have an evening theme and his follow up song "Candy" and Delight repackaged album, is supposed to be daytime/daylight. It all is meant to play off of each other. :D The two albums are as different as night and day.
And, to really appreciate the choreography, if you haven't yet, you need to check out the dance practice video for "Candy." You will be even more impressed. I think you'll really be surprised when you see the full choreography. ;)

The funny thing about UN Village, is that the live version sounds totally different live..."because" of the fanchant!it is so powerful and cheerfull that it totally changes the mood of the song in a certain way..
His bsides and Japanese album are superb. Cry for Love will blow you away! He also will do lives and sing old school 80’s R&B which is a treat!

Some other songs showcasing his vocals are Diamond (produced by DARKCHILD who's worked with Beyonce, Gaga, Whitney Houston), and Underwater (beautiful melodies that make the song sound like it's underwater)
Omg bambi is my favorite Baekhyun songs ever, if you loved that one I seriously recommend u to see the performance of that song in his lastest tour called Lonsdaleite, the vocal harmonies in the back at the end of the song it's the part he actually sing live and it gives me goosebumps every time, it's so freaking good
