There’s a reactor here on YT that is a huge Dan fan; Viking Reacts. He created a “fan project” or mashup of Dan singing Last Ride of The Day as Nightwish was singing it. I think he also did the same for Ever Dream. It was really something incredible; they sounded great together. Hail VascNation ❤

I discovered Dan’s channel something like six months ago, and have already finished the entire channel and joined his Patreon. I’ve never had that reaction to any other artist before. He just can’t seem to do a bad cover.

So many great songs -- Last Ride of the Day, Mirror Mirror, Hallelujah Chorus (he did a ton of work on it - all the parts!) ... Gethsemane is very dramatic - like acting out a part in the opera - very cool!! Really enjoying your commentary on his work... Thanks!!

Very good voice and interpretation style.
What his tongue is doing almost makes his pseudo-operatic voice take on a throat-singing sounding edge.
I actually find him easier to understand than Tarja's. The original Wishmaster: th-cam.com/video/eJTlH521E6w/w-d-xo.html I wasn't sure what to expect but it's a darn good cover - and I'm picky.
Great reaction and i appreciate you telling us about his voice techniques. I love how athletic he is while singing. It adds a lot of energy and life to the performance. Also, I get the sense that he loves moving to music.

One of the things I always like about anything Dan sings, is that when he has to wait through a riff, he visibly keeps that rhythm beating throughout his body. You can tell, often, that he's really doesn't like to have to wait, but because he is so disciplined, he does, and then, when it's almost time to begin singing again, you can visibly see him counting down the seconds, and then...there he is again, as if there never was a break...impeccable timing...always.
HEY! I've always LOVED Mario (I'm a veteran gamer, myself). Nowadays, it's the (eight) grandkids with whom we live (them, our youngest daughter, and her husband), still play all of the Mario games...all the way up from the earliest ones to the latest ones. In fact, just last night I was having a fun conversation with the youngest (4-1/2 years old) grandson here (we have 22 grands scattered around the U.S., and five great-grands scattered even further). He was explaining to me how some parts of the newest version of the game work. It's so much fun listening to his explanations. 😀

Now i love the new Nightwish with Floor. I stumbled on this version with Dan per chance a few month back (thank you Covid 19) and was baffled but enjoyed it very much.
