learning life skills are so important, using a knife properly, fire safety and using an axe.. so many adults don't even have these skills. Many South African kids grow up with this being normal. very good!
Being a mum is for a lifetime, being a child is here today gone tomorrow. Teaching them as they are young how to gather wood, use a knife and axe or stoking a fire is what will be so rewarding when they are much older. 3 years old, 7 years old and 9 years old, wow time goes by so fast. I remeber when the oldest was just 5 years old. They are growing up so fast Vanessa. Teaching them how to survive in the wilderness is wonderful. These times you will treasure when you are old and your kids have kids to teach about bushcrafting and the skills they are learning now. Great video Vanessa... Ich Liebe Dich SOOOO !!!!

So cool to watch. You're raising them boys the right way. Here in the states our young boys are not being brought up like this. They play with cell phones and video games and have NO CLUE about nature and the wild outdoors. They will fail. I am proud to see you doing the right thing by teaching them life skills that may one day save their life. GREAT JOB!

Great few nights for the kids, always learning how to look after themselves. Extra hard work for you still being a mum but very rewarding and building memories.
I wish more mom,s / dads would do this type of thing with their children , mine did. it is healthy for them to learn these skills. much better than them playing games on their cell phones. i love how you let your boys hair grow !!!!!!!!!! until i was 7 years old i had a crew cut !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my parents hated the 60's and the freedom that came with it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they were stuck in the 1940's and their ideals never changed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are such a wonderful Mom teaching your kids skills, letting them actually use those skills, allowing them play time but they also actually WANT to participate in "making the camp." You have some great kids too!
Many of my fondest and oldest memories are from camping trips with Mom, Dad and my siblings plus the church group and, of course, the scout troop. Technology has certainly improved since that time though -- power bank heated inserts for the sleeping bags - several outings we'd have killed each other for one of those!!
The only problem watching your campfire is that, now, I very much want some hot chocolate before bed! :D I'm enjoying your channel. Danke schön!

That's what excellent parenting looks like. Way too many parents stick a tablet in front of their kids as a babysitter or try to bubble wrap them against the world. These boys will grow up to be useful men.

Hi Vanessa another nice video with you and the kids working together, the younger the better it is for them to handle something , I remember the shelter video it was a good idea that never come about , I didn't like the head lamp tightner it looks like its something that can easily come off when walking , you know what I mean , a thick head band would be better Vanessa.
