  • If Monteverde is on your list of places to visit in Costa Rica and you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Santa Elena, jump in and take a closer look at the Camino Verde Bed & Breakfast.
This location is not only conveniently located (just a 5 minute walk from the shops and restaurants downtown), but is affordable, has a ton of character, and has a great complementary breakfast in the morning.
We would absolutely stay here again!

Man that looks like an amazing place, were all the beds in one room or was there a separate master ???

Yeah, we loved it! The beds were all in one room. Our room had a double, a twin, and 2 bunk beds with a sliding door to the patio. The other side of the hall didn’t have patio access directly from the rooms and I’m pretty sure they were all just one main room with beds and a bathroom.

How much was the hotel And how much did you spend on your trip Total I might have missed the video where you detailed budgeting.

I do not remember exactly how much the hotel was, but I believe it was around $100/night. As far as how much we spent on the whole trip, we were there for 2 weeks and I want to say that we spent a total of around $7,000. That’s not an exact number, but I believe it was somewhere in that range.
We went budget friendly in some areas and splurged in others. The more touristy areas like Tamarindo or Manuel Antonio will be more expensive, especially for hotels and restaurants right in the beach.
We saved some money by staying in a couple of EcoLodges, some smaller one-off hotels and eating at the smaller “mom and pop” style restaurants called sodas.
Tread lightly with staying at EcoLodges, though. Sleeping in the jungle with no air conditioning is its own special kind of adventure 😂
